I loved the ultimate meta-gaming moment in BioShock with the reveal. It is still my favorite "Oh, wow.. that is so awesome and gives me goosebumps" moment I've had in gaming. Sadly, it's not something you can experience in a 2nd playthrough since you already know to expect it.

Single-player: The Whispered World. It's beautiful!
Mmorpgs: FFXI possibly has the best MMO story I've ever played, but it's P2P and very old school - so it's not for everyone. The Secret World is more recent and its storytelling's pretty great. ^_^

Grand Theft Auto IV. I know there are a lot of douche-bags that dis on it for whatever reason, but for me personally Niko Belic's story is pure genius. It moved me to fucking tears at the end(not joking, I actually cried). Other great choices: Half Life 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Shadow of Chernobyl, F.E.A.R.(first one only), Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite, Spec Op The Line(it will test the limits of your conscience and your humanity) Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Max Payne 1 and 2, Unreal 2 The Awakening, Prince of Persia trilogy(Sands of Time especially, but also the two sequels to a lesser degree cause, even their stories are good in essence, they don't have the brilliant story-telling the first one has).

Thanks for the insult and all but Nico was boring and depressing, the whole game was depressing. Not sure why you would call people who disliked it douche bags but nice, real nice.
