I'm going to stick with my CPU which is a A6-3500 2.1GHz.

I also have 4GB Ram.

Now here's the new parts.

R7 260X
460W PSU

Any good?

460W PSU -> CRAP!

Looking at specs:

PFC None PFC (Good PSU have Active PFC
Output Capacity 400 Watts . But it had 460W in name? Maybe it's just 400W specs.

http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Cooler-Master-Elite-Power-460-W-Power-Supply-Review/1005/9

Cooler Master Elite Power 460 W is simply an Elite Power 400 W with a new label.

Nope :D

Definitely a lot better. Still not the best, but a lot better.

This is cheaper and very similar.

This is the same price, and better.

For Corsair power supplies, VS is the low end value series, cheaper parts and cheaper power supplies. General office machine type stuff, low load peaks.
CX is the entry-level "running machine" power supplies. Able to handle peaking and a constant load.
GS series is the CX series rebranded with better parts and better warranties. Also has LED fans as a selling point.
TX is the mainstream series, for higher end machines. They are "better" GS boxes with better power efficiency.
HX and AX aren't something you'd want to look at running anything under 2 GPUs.

For Corsair PSUs, I'd recommend the CX at least. Thermal takes higher end ($50+) are good too, as well as anything Seasonic. Cooler Master is on my personal ignore list unless it's their higher end series of 80+ silver or better.

Overal Corsair makes decent PSU's but for that price you better get this one.

XFX uses only Chemi-con capacitors, which are high japanese quality. Corsair only has 1 high quality japanese capacitor and the rest lower quality Taiwanese capacitors.

After reading better, it does output 454 watts, actually. Just not reasonably. 130 watts on the 3.3v and 5v combined, and 324w on the dual 12v rails. The only trouble is it says directly on it not to use more than 377.9 watts total. Also, you really won't load a 3.3v or 5v rail that much, ever. So it's a 330w power supply for most uses.

Ok, i too use amd apu so i can tell you that you do need a better power suply, your target is at least 520w pfc(80 plus) for some decent use, the gpu you set is good, next if you can go for 1 ssd 120gb and keep your games and doc on the old hdd, you will really enjoy better your machine after this.

Later you can get a new apu like a8 5600k, same overclock of 5800k+ but better price and good range so your system wont be botlenecked on the next upgrade.

My system took me 2 year but i got: APU A8-6600K + Corsair H100I + Gigabyte F2A85XM-HD3 + 2x4GB G.skill RipJaws DDR3 2400Mhz + Saphire 7750HD 1Gb + 1x120GB Samsung 840 EVO - OS and 500Gb Seagate - Backup everything porwered by one very silent SevenTeam Cilense 520W, so go for it, get a decent power suply because nothing is worst than lose you pc due some poor and cheap power suply.

This
And this

Shave $5 off the graphics card and put it to a better PSU

I guess that settles it. Now the real question is. How will that GPU and PSU work with my CPU? AMD A6-3500.

You definitely want the XFX power supply. It's much more reliable, while providing the promised 550W with low ripple.

I'm afraid the CPU will bottleneck the GPU a bit. I'd recommend you getting the GTX 750. It's cheaper while performing similar to the R7 260x.

you should buy a GTX 750 Ti rather then your R7 260X . The GTX 750 Ti is a lot better.

Also more expensive... His cpu would bottleneck it as well.

Mantle API appears to work at it's fullest when the CPU is a lower end CPU. So I'd definitely consider going with an AMD card that supports Mantle, like the R7 260x, if you ever get a Mantle supported game. As for PSU, I'd maybe invest a bit more into it and get something like this. I like Cooler Master products, but not their power supplies.
