I've entered nearly 130 giveaways, why haven't I won anything :(

If we assume there are 1000 entries in each giveaway, which is pretty fair from what I've seen and also easier for math, then the probability of you winning each one is 1/1000, the probability of not winning is 999/1000. Since each entry is an independent event, to calculate how likely it is that you win 0 giveaways, you use the formula, (999/1000)^x, where x is the number of giveaways.
(999/1000)^130=0.878 which is 87.8%

The math for when you are only 50% likely to not have won is shown below:

(999/1000)^x=0.5

log((999/1000)^x)=log(0.5)

x*log(999/1000)=log(0.5)

x=(log(0.5))/(log(999/1000))

x=692.8

The math isn't in your favor for winning until you reach about 700 giveaways, chill out.
Don't complain about not winning free things, and especially don't complain if the math is heavily against you.

It just takes time. I've also been on for about 3 weeks, and haven't won a thing. Do I complain? No. I just let nature take its course, and go on my merry way, entering more and more giveaways. Everyone's bound to win something sometime, but just be patient about it. I also assume it would be a good idea to be on everyone's good graces so you can enter more giveaways in the forums. Try getting out on the forums more often (of course, I shouldn't be talking, since I barely have a presence anywhere I go.)
