A senior Israeli government official has called "absolute nonsense" a Friday report in Foreign Policy that Mossad agents posed as CIA officers in order to recruit members of a Pakistani terror group to carry out assassinations and attacks against the regime in Iran.
Quoting U.S. intelligence memos, Foreign Policy's Mark Perry reported that the Mossad operation was carried out in 2007-2008, behind the back of the U.S. government, and infuriated then U.S. President George W. Bush.
Perry quoted a number of American intelligence officials and claimed that the Mossad agents used American dollars and U.S. passports to pose as CIA spies to try to recruit members of Jundallah, a Pakistan-based Sunni extremist organization that has carried out a series of attacks in Iran and assassinations of government officials.
Israel generally refrains for responding to reports on alleged Mossad activities. However, in the wake of Perry's report as well as the official U.S. condemnation of the killing of an Iranian nuclear scientist in Tehran earlier this week, Israeli officials were quick to issue a complete denial of the report.
The concern was that leaving Perry's report without a response would revive tensions that existed between the U.S. and Israeli intelligence communities following the Jonathan Pollard affair in the 1980s. Pollard was sentenced to life in a U.S. prison after being convicted of spying for Israel.
The senior Israeli government official said that if there were any truth the claims in Perry's report, Meir Dagan, the head of the Mossad at the time of the alleged operation, would have been declared a persona non grata in the U.S. and that "Dagan's foot would not have walked again in Washington".

Easy, update to the latest OFW(official firmware), which should be 6.60.(I see you're already on it, good. Don't listen to others who say to downgrade)
Download this,
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=42QGN7SB
Hook up your PSP to your PC via USB Connection. Put the "me_installer" folder into your PSP > GAME folder. Run the installer in your game tab on your psp, it'll install 6.60 ME 1.6. You'll have the latest full CFW. Done. You do NOT need a pandora battery. CFW has come a long way, and since yours is a 1000, there's absolutely no chance of failure.

Seems legit. Long ago since I made the last update.

Yea man, it really is that easy now. I've done this for at least 5 of my friends PSPs. CFW unlocks such great features that Sony really should've implemented, like in game music, custom themes, a better internet broweser, homebrews, various emulators etc etc. But Sony doesn't want another PSP on their hands with the Vita since the PSP is effortlessly hacked now lol.

http://psp.dashhacks.com/ is where I go for custom plugins
Currently active I have dayviewer which is just a more in depth description at the top of your PSP at the XMB, tells the day, the # day, month, year, time, battery % and estimated amount of time the battery will live. I have music.prx which lets me play music in games. I have CXMB which allows custom themes. Quick boot, which lets me switch to any application while in game/application without having to go to the XMB. And that's about it for me. Popsloader is built in, so if you have any old PS1 games you can rip EBOOTs off them and play that way.
Also a note, since you just installed CFW, i recommend reformatting, as that'll add the CFW folders that you will need. If you can't avoid not formatting, just create an ISO folder in the PSPs root directory if you want to play pirate, and make a seplugins folder in the root of your PSP as well. This is where plugins(.prx files) go. Inside seplugins folder, make a vsh.txt and game.txt. These two .txt files are where you add the line that'll activate the plugins. VSH is for XMB, Game.txt is for in game.
So for example, dayviewer.prx is inside my seplugins folder. And inside vsh.txt is the line
ms0:/seplugins/dayviewer.prx 1
ms0 just meaning the root directory, and seplugins because there's a seplugins folder inside the root PSP directory. So you basically just direct it to where the plugin is. And the "1" at the end just denotes it being enabled. 1 for enabled 0 for disabled. You can enable/disable plugins via the select button while on the XMB which brings up the VSH Menu. You can change the clock speed of the XMB and in GAME. I suggest changing it to 333/166 for games as that is the max frequency it can run and it'll run games smoother this way. Same goes for apps.

Well hack your PSP so you DONT run pirated ISO's is.....quite funny to read.
Still, we've managed (by we i mean my friends and i) to flash a PSP1000 with an older firmware, since it wasnt updated the process was pretty much straightforward, kind of like flashing a smartphone nowadays; now i dont know if you can downgrade your firmware, of if the version you have is available as a flashed one, but if you can't seem to do so (first you should look for a flashed/hacked firmware of your choice, and check its base version), just google PSP 1000 [firmware version number] downgrade, and then work from there.
I think there was some risk of bricking it, but its rather hard to screw it up that hard, sorry i can't give you any direct link as i can't seem to find the ones i used.
In any case, good luck! :D

I read that they have never made any legal action against anyone who has hacked a psp.

If you're just wanting to use homebrew, I would recommend halfbyte loader, instead of fully flashing it.
