Torchlight 2 Mods

Does anyone know how to permanently remove mdos from Torchlight 2?
I have had constant crashing in Torchlight 2, and I believe it's something to do with me modding Torchlight 2.
I already removed them awhile ago, but I read a post somewhere that, even though you remove them, they still bind to Torchlight 2.

No idea if torchlight 2 mods are bind to original game. But I have some problem with it. I download a mod or skin or something like that from workshop months ago. But even after I unistalled torchlight 2, that mod still updates and auto downloads something. I don't have a clue...

Did you unsubscribe from The mod on the workshop? If not, it Will reinstall with the game.

em, I don't know if I subscribe the mod. But my problem is that even I have unistalled torchlight 2 from my HDD,every time that mod updates, it auto downloads from workshop onto my HDD. I saw that happens every month. It only downloads the mod not the game which is confusing me as I currently don't have torchlight 2 installed on my HDD.

It's possible. You really should try and just reinstall the game first though. It's after all not larger than 1,5 gigs. Much easier than mucking about with The game folders. Just backup your saves before you do!

For the uninformed, Torchlight 2 mods attach themselves to the saves. Torchlight 2 knows what mods have been used in each save, and if it is no longer present, that save does not load unless the save file is edited.

Look into a save editor called "Torchlight 2 Rapid Respec"

It can remove mods binding to your safe file, among other things. It won't violate VAC, since Torchlight 2 is not a VAC game.
