I can see the future!

So I'll be completely honest, I've never watched the Back to the Future franchise. Probably because it was before my time (Inb4 Eobard Thawne fans start rubbing it in my nose, stop.) So if any of you folks watched it, can I please know what all the fuss is about? Is it the effects? Or the plot?

Also looking forward to that Delorean DLC Rocket League is giving out. It looks pretty dope.

And as a bonus, why not leave a discussion open? We did see a lot of predictions the film apparently made come true. But some that were completely off the mark. Did you think the film succeeded in painting a picture of us 26 years ago?

Thanks for Skyrim

It's among the best time travel adventure films of all time, and it's just a fun set of films with a great narrative and great characters. I want to try and marathon it tomorrow just to laugh at how off they were about the future, though.

Almost mistook you for Sleepycat there. And yeah, lots of things were off. So I guess we could say that we are having fun prodding and poking a piece of fiction to death. Guess that's what made these movies so special.

What DAJ01 said, and it has an AMAZING soundtrack, probably one of the best of all time.

i don't know if there's a term for this, but i feel a bit of "nostalgia" from watching bttf 2 and 3, like: "i have seen this guy before". <3
also some iconic places: the clock tower in 1885/1955/1985/2015, how the neighborhood changes in the 2nd movie (alt reality and future), the town in the 3rd movie, etc. :3

I really liked the trilogy. The best one is the second, because it plays with what happened in the first one, I think. The first one is really good! And the third one is good, but not as good as the others.

Did you open the topic on the day before Marty McFly arrives in the future on purpose? :P He went to 2015, October the 21st @ 4:29PM! :D

Indeed. I was impatient, so I made the topic early and went to bed. Also that way I get ahead of those ninjas that ruin my day so wearily often.

The plot for some part, but mostly because it is a classic adventure movie with focus on suspense and the sense of thrills. The plot, if you really look into it, is mediocre at best, the effects were on the cheap-ish side even back then, and the acting is intentionally a little cheesy, but it's one of the most fun adventure stories you can experience.

Biff's manure-covered car would be a hilarious DLC for Rocket League! I don't have the game but thought this a good idea.

Hmph... Someone should really make Psyonix make a Battle Racer DLC. The ones used in Star Wars in their races. I'd pay for that too.
