Left 4 Dead gift appeared in my inventory

Just started the client and a copy of L4D appeared in my inventory, have no idea why and how.
Anybody else got it too?

Wait I didn't have L4D and it's on my library now :D I guess I didn't receive it as gift as I didn't own it and it went to my library directly.

I didn't have one, then restarted steam and got one.

I'm confused as to how people are getting two copies.

Does anyone know if people are getting this from owning the Evolve ALPHA, or the Evolve game?

Dayum, didn't buy evolve from an indonesian trader and now they giveaway the only valve game i miss , along with day of defeat source... :(
