I was going to buy a second copy of "Lords of the Fallen Game of the Year Edition" from Voidu to make a public GA to go along with my WL GA's.
I couldn't purchase it because a "You have already bought this product" error came up.

So let this serve as a kind of PSA, if you are going to buy from Voidu make sure you buy a copy for yourself instead. (that is, if the game interests you ofcourse)

Here is what Voidu Support had to say about it. (see image)

I think it's rather silly but what do you think?

And here is what you came for: Diluvion

I'm kinda of the same opinion as you but maybe let people buy 2 copies or at least warn that you can only buy it once.

I agree they could warn you at least. I don’t mind purchasing limits as long as they’re upfront and I understand the need because of abuses of cheap product availability otherwise.

Mostly smart, but would be nice if the support could reply and say they've unlocked the restriction on that item, so you can purchase the same title one more time. Maybe they don't want to open the possibility of a floodgate of such requests. Or just don't want to re-code their backend.

Didn't Voidu get banned from reddit /r/gamedeals for vote manipulation? Funny that they would talk about anything being fraudulent.

I don't think they got banned there. Do you have any source?

That's why I didn't see any new deals there.

You actually claimed that the message that you had already bought it was an error while admitting that you had already bought it? πŸ˜•

Fanatical limits us to two, I would have assumed any other would do the same but yeah 1 is kinda too limited. What if I bought a game, liked it, and wanted to buy for a friend? :/

I would be fine if it's limited to two, or time-limited like Humble Bundle (can only purchase a few at a time).

Fanatical limits to 2 copies of a product per purchase. You can buy any number of copies on your account, with the same payment method, by paying multiple times

Oh really? Then uh... that's not much of a limit then, they can just remove it entirely lol

This is my guess, but if you buy too many copies, they probably will put your order on hold and review your purchase. The limit also helps to prevent people from buying up all the keys for good game in Pick & Mix bundle as well.

I don't have a big problem with restricting keys like this (although I think 2 per customer would be better than 1), but as with everything else, the most important thing is communication. They should clearly state that such a restriction exists.

That's an absolutely asinine and ridiculous restriction. Especially for the reason given. Do they even know what the word fraudulent means?

Lol, who in their right mind would use the same e-mail on more than one site, and especially on paypal and a key reseller?

Also, thanks for the GA. :-)

Reasonable to avoid re-selling. Suggesting to create a multi account at the same time is somewhat uncommon and funny though.

They go farther than that. They suggest creating two paypal accounts, which may be against the terms, at least pp's faq says "You can have one Consumer account and one Business account."

Yeah the term "(the primary one)" could lead to this understanding. Though you don't have to use PayPal twice, you could just use another payment method.

That's true. Temporarily changing the primary e-mail might also work, I didn't think of that.

I'm more annoyed about the matching mails addresses since the one I use for paypal is one that I never use to register on websites

Not GMG, I never had any issues with that there.
The only website that I remembered checking this was Gamivo, but they just sent a mail to my paypal address to ask me to confirm the mail address I used on their website.

I believe two is a lot more reasonable limit than one if it's going to be a site-wide limit.
Multi-player titles alone should be reason enough.

I can see why they limit the amount of copies you can buy there but they could at least allow everyone to buy 2 copies of a game.
