Just wondering about the quality of connection around the world, for the test you can use this
And if you don't mind me asking, can you add how much you pay, where do you live (state will do just fine), and whether you have FUP (limited data download/speed, usually per month).

I used to live in Ireland 4 years ago. The internet was terrible (<1mbps on both UL, DL) and you had to pay about double the price in comparison with other countries.

I'm getting connected to a gigabit port next week, it'll be around 800MBps after that.

Well, i haven't asked specifically about that, but i doubt it. I live in a place with a few other teens with an adult around at all time, and they're pretty idiotic concerning the rules in general.

And I've got the bigger plan... the base plan includes a 35 Gb cap. Fortunately they don't count transfers between midnight and 8 a.m. I usually start my bigger games download right before I go to bed so that they're in the free transfer period. I was tempted by Netflix, but the data usage was what kept me from trying it out.

In Lithuania I used to have 200/200Mbps (both country-wide and world-wide) unlimited for around $30 a month.
Now that I have moved to China, situation is quite different: still looking for ISP, probably they don't have faster than 10-20Mbps; and even then you have to pay big money for that...
