So...I won a gift a week ago and the gifter promptly sent me the game. Today I try to find it and it's not there, what gives?

What game? Sometimes Steam removes games if the keys were exploited or if the gifter cancelled the purchase on his credit card.

When you logged in, did it say that the game has been removed from your library?
EDIT: What you won is a DLC, it doesn't show in your library, but it doesn't mean you don't have it. Go to the game, right click on it and click properties. Open the last tab saying 'DLC'. It should be there

Ohhhh! it says it's there. Pretty weird since I went to the Steam Store page for it and it doesn't say I have it.

That's normal, Steam says I don't have most of the Sanctum DLC but I do.
