It actually was a pretty neat HOG. I usually don't enjoy them but I actually liked this one. I was actually planning on setting up a dev sponsored giveaway for the game, but now I'm kind of scared too..

I have a feeling that, when Steam catches onto the mass spamming of keys, we'll see this game delisted and the trading cards virtually worthless (well, you know, more virtually useless than actual ones you can buy and sell)

There is also a mass giveaway on rex' discord (yes, that spammy group). It's going since yesterday, for around maybe 10 more hours? 1 key per 5 minutes; You can easily get a key while doing something else; Got mine while I was watching some tv show and from time to time checked discord chat; In past 2 hours it was max 50 entries per draw, so chances were decent so far.

The way the devs are doing this, it may be removed from store soon. It is apparently a genuinely great HOG, but right now it is distributed in a shadier way than some asset flip money laundering product.

It is among the planned, but not yet implemented features. Until then, things remain the same.
What I find funny is that now all those people joined a dozen groups, followed YouTube channels, and everyone on their friend list saw that, meaning, like little sheep, they did additional free promotion for something they never wanted in the first place, and now cannot even use for what they planned. baa

I'm actually playing through that game now and it's a good and well-made HOG, too bad they keep making these weird blunders on the, uh, marketing side of things. Like working with one of those shady groups - was it REX or Original whatever or something..

I am about to start it this week.
I will be honest, this game will have to work pretty damn hard to convince me. I have been around it, involuntarily, ever since it hit greenlight, because its marketing was so obnoxious and aggressive and clingy that it was impossible to not see it everywhere for a HOG player.

It was in at least two, but I think three separate mass key drops.
Not counting the roughly 10-15k keys they gave to shady giveaway groups, another few hundred given to NOT shady groups, and the other hundreds given away here.

Heh, Darkarta's devs are funny, flagging my positive review because I linked a few interesting threads at the end:

(And the even funnier part is that these few upvotes are now enough to keep it on the Store page for 30 days, even if it is not high enough for simple browsers to see it. Still, I find it ironic that flagged reviews can be still seen at the Store, no matter what the devs intend.)
This is why it is important for small indie devs to either have someone who can read a contract or to just find a semi-decent publisher who handles these stuff without looking like some clumsy money laundering operation.
The actually sad part is that the game is actually quite nice, too bad we now will remember it as the HOG that couldn't think of new ways to get mass key drops, despite trying its hardest.
