Shes into games like sonic and she loved billy hatcher on the gamecube.. So far I am considering these

Sonic all stars racing transformed
Trine 2
Brothers
Never alone
Lost castle
Sonic the hedgehog 4 episode 2

Mainly coop would be preferred if possible

If you have a wii then new super Mario bros. If she likes platformers like sonic she'd be right at home with Mario.

For short visits I prefer physical games over digital ones.
We own a bunch of card games and who-dun-it board games.

It's fun, short matches, and REALLY cooperative.

I played the Lord of the Rings games and The (non Disney) Star Wars games back and forth with nephews, non-gamers/casual gamers friends and it's a lot of fun. Heard the Harry Potter ones are good too and just started the Indiana Jones reboot.

Hey bro, here's an in-depth list of games you can play with your Mother. Look in the casual games list for an easier time finding something.

I made the list with casual gamers in mind
Let me know what you think

By the way, everything on the first and second list has co-op and is controller supported.

For Local multiplayer here are some I have that are fun and chill.

  • Jackbox Party Pack 2-4: These are a lot of fun and easy to learn. She just needs a phone, tablet, or computer to log into the site.
  • Battleblock theater: A nice puzzle platformer! If she likes Sonic she might like the genre, plus it has family friendly humor mixed in.
  • Lego Games: I don't personally like the lego games but there are many to choose from!
  • Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes: Good for a laugh! I read above that someone suggested it, but I thought I'd second that :P
  • Move or Die: very buggy but also a good party game.
  • Stikbold: Fun little dodgeball game.
  • Ultimate Chicken Horse: a cute platforming game
  • Magicka: it's kind of hard, especially for the person who has controller. It's very fun though.

Battleblock Theater or Pit People would probably be fun for her. Space Farmers is a fun co-op but I don't think it has local so you'd have to have separate computers to play it.

Do you have 2 computer so you can play with her in LAN or is it should be splitscreen? I cant really recommend any games which wasnt mentioned yet, but the information might be benefitial for others who can

As for ideas there are just so many, why not look at f.e Trine 2 and look at the suggestion box?
Like i am seeing Trine 3, BattleBlock Theater (which is a good one btw).
