Is the steam Trashbot illegal or something?

I told another user about it (an automated steam account that allows you to offload coupons from your inventory to trade with). For some odd reason, the topic was closed.

I hope i dont get in trouble for it. I thought i was just being helpful?

i closed it myself, cause i gave my coupons to someone :D
since my need was fulfilled, i just didn't need that topic anymore
