What kind of group will this be? Is it centered around hanging out and playing games together or will it be a group focused on giveaways? Besides the $50 contribution requirement, what else is expected from its members? There seems to be a lack of information.

I would join if the trust could be mutual, i knew you from the forums, or you had an already high contributor value, which might indicate you have actually created a group to give games and not just expect to increase your chances.

You have to understand the way these successful "private groups" work, before you decide to make one yourself. Creating a reputation by participating in the forums will help gather people's respect for you, so you should intend on spending quite a bit of time writing here. In order to create a group that will last more than 1 week, you need to get people to make giveaways on their own terms, out of respect for you and the other group members. This requires establishing relationships with other members through several giveaways made by you. The leader has to lead by example after all.

Basically, it's not easy starting your own private giveaway group despite what so many people think. Prepare to spend a lot of money to gather people's trust and create a community that you can dedicate a lot of time towards rather than just creating a cheap giveaway every once in a while.
