I am playing 21 with EA Play. And i dont care for Ultimate team, prefer Career Mode. Do you think it is worth it?

Don't, it's the same game every year, but updated rosters. In fact, it's somehow getting worse.

the funny part is that this isn't only a joke: https://screenrant.com/fifa-21-20-nintendo-switch-same-game-roster/

No, if you don't mind waiting, FIFA 22 will probably be on EA Play soon as well.

I don't watch soccer or play any soccer games, but that seems like a good sale's price, especially for a FIFA game. If you do buy the game you should be aware that the license deal between EA and FIFA if I'm not mistaken ends around October/November of next year, so the FIFA severs might be closing down when the license agreement ends.

I picked up Madden 22 free from Amazon Prime Gaming a few months back and had a lot of free fun with it. They are very happy to take your money, but I got 40-50 hours out of playing Madden Ultimate Team singleplayer. I didn't play much else on there because it just wasn't interesting. If I buy, it will not be the Ultimate for $40 more for some points. I'll have fun with a scrappy team, thank you.
I would expect the same from FIFA 22 and its ultimate team feature. worth it? depends. American football is easier for a casual gamer because play is broken up into plays, and you can pause at logical pause points.
In world football of course you cannot, with breaks only on the halftime and when there are corners, free kicks, or PKs. FIFA will also require alot more hand-eye coordination. I bought the game on a deep sale on steam many months ago and returned it. After playing Madden, I may reconsider, but will temper my expectations down for the reasons above.
Sorry for the long post; hoping it might help.
I make no comments on EA as a company, but if you have opinions on them, certainly weigh them into your decision, like you would any other company, ideally.

Just know that this version is inferior to the console release.

They also have new features like machine learning and hypermotion.
None of these are game changers in their current form. But without, you might as well call it fifa legacy on pc

Eh, depends. FUT is now at the Team of the Season stage, so starting now will see you come up against pretty stacked teams. If you don't mind grinding more in Squad Battles for a bit to get a decent team, I would say do it. 10β¬ for easily over 100h worth of content if you like FUT. Dunno much about other modes, since I don't really play them.

Not worth it for many reasons:
1- imo FIFA is generally not worth getting if it's 1 month after the release date
2- still expensive
3- trash, full of game breaking bugs. Last time I played it I lost my mind and threw the spaghetti on the screen, the walls were splashed with tomato sauce. This happened after I was almost getting my 21th win on the last match of weekend league, then the opponent paused as I was playing a goalkick. I resumed but the game didn't let me back in, I could only see the pause menu cam without the menu. 2 minutes later the game resumed and I looked at the score board suddenly turning into a 2-3 loss from a 2-1 win. This happened to me many times, but that time was it for me.

haven't played a football game for a long time. FIFA 17 I believe was the last game I played way back in 2017 at cousin's place. 84% is a pretty good discount, probably getting this even though I'm not a football fan as I believe it would be delisted next year.

I'm more inclined towards NBA. My last game of NBA was 2006 one. I am curious though as to know if anyone can share if it's worth playing FIFA 22 or NBA 2K22 if I've never been into these type of games before. I mean I loved NBA, but again, I'm quite newbie to them.
Thank you!

I played both. I think you will enjoy NBA since you were a fan and haven't played the recent ones so you will have nothing to compare to except the 2006 one. Stay away from playing in the park in mycareer (I only play the NBA games) and myteam (P2W).
I'm not a soccer fan myself and I gave FIFA22 a try since it's on sale. Haven't played any FIFA game before and I enjoy playing the career mode. Maybe because everything is new to me and haven't played the past ones.
So I guess give it a try since you are new to them. It's like having a new shiny toy.
