I think it'd be nice if it'd show on the actual giveaway page if the game has been bundled or not. For one, it'd help me decide which of these 'featured giveaways' are actually just stuff appearing on sgrnd, ksell, skstore, and so on.

I used to fill up my library w/ everything, but not anymore, so I'm not aware of which of these 'featured giveaways' cost the person $1 or may actually be developer (or someone acting on behalf of developer) doing a giveaway, or even just someone that spent a lot and decided to give away 50+ of same title.

Also, I don't mind entering random giveaways that are level locked for these bundled or 2 cent titles, but I don't want to enter some level locked (or whitelist, group) giveaway for some title that's never been discounted heavily.

e.g.

https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/571y1/hills-of-glory-3d

this was in a bundle, so somewhere on this page it'd be nice if it noted that. is there any reason not to do this?

correction: wouldn't want to enter this giveaway, unless it's a game I'd actually play in the next few weeks. which isn't many titles, atm... haha.

also would be neat if it referenced trading card availability

Wait, you want to know if a giveaway game is bundled or not so you can avoid entering giveaways for unbundled games? Why?

Edit: Oh, ok..that makes a bit more sense :)

ed: well, i'll leave this here... but now you understand, after my comment about trading cards, I guess.. haha =p

... the short, direct answer to your question: I suppose it'd really need notification for bundled status and trading card availability.

If it's still not understood:

I know tons of people have won games I have done giveaways for and never loaded it, unless it's auto farmed by idlemaster or archisteamfarm. That's why I've noted in description for games that I paid full (or close to full) value for, like age of gladiators. Presumably, this helps cut down on these # of entries, but maybe not.

Some folks enter giveaways because they are interested in playing the games they enter for. Maybe this applies to the majority of users on Steamgifts. However, the majority of entries on Steamgifts aren't from people wanting to actually play the game.

Sounds like you need to visit the Add-ons Registry, SG Game Tags, or SG Add IsThereAnyDeal Data would fill your needs.

SG Game Tags simply doesn't work for me. I've tried both Chrome and Firefox. The settings menu never shows up where the github says it does.

Looks like github has outdated info, settings are at https://www.steamgifts.com/sg-game-tags now.

It would be even cooler if they could somehow integrate it with IsThereAnyDeal to show all the bundles a game has been in. Or, perhaps, just link directly to the game's IsThereAnyDeal page. That would be useful from the perspective of... "oh, I'm going to buy that bundle already, so I shouldn't enter this giveaway."

(And, in some cases "oh, I already bought that bundle, but the key was added later, so I shouldn't enter this giveaway and should instead go to the bundle page to get the key.")

People often ask "is this bundled somewhere?" when they see a lot of giveaways for a game, so this would be convenient for them.

Enhanced Steam not only lists bundle account, but any active bundles with the game, on the game's Steam page- which you can get to with a single click by clicking the icon to the right of the giveaway name, on the giveaway list, or by clicking the game image on the giveaway page. If you're looking to redirect to another page anyway, the ES extension really seems to do everything needed anyway [and links to the ITAD page, as well, so you don't lose that function, either].
