I know it's a joke but people got suspended for implying begging for less worse, so maybe rephrase
also yes, it's worth it

You don't have to play 1 and 2 to understand The Witcher 3, the story's pretty much tailored for new players. There might be some obscure references or relationships you won't fully grasp but most of it's explained in expository dialogue or character descriptions.
And the game's 100% worth it (coming from someone who doesn't like fantasy RPGs)

I played ABZU and RYSE last month and both are beautiful and worth to play:) But this games are best when you connect your PC to big TV screen and play on pad controler.
Good luck with testing:)
As SHIV highly recommend Witcher 3 it is one of the best game I ever played;)

Yea, Arkham Knight is a good one. I tried it on my Geforce 1060 6GB and ended up having to turn down quite a few settings to get a stable 60fps.

CTU was a joke lol. Although if you want a serious advice try project cars demo and Overload playable teaser, they should be enough to test (especially the first one). Afaik the full version has the possibility with tweaks to run a benchmark, see if you can run it on the demo too

benchmark tools (i.e. RE6)
Since you included benchmark tools, I guess FurMark and 3DMark ^^ 👀

Actually, I'm not.
It was the first thing I tried on my current PC, and it was still slow at times. And it absolutely crawls when using shaders. =(

If you have Skyrim, try those Skyrim with enb + ultra mods

Grey Goo
shit optimization. Will push your CPU and GPU

ABZU is a bit of a bitch and Doom runs well even on a 486. ;) Tomb Raider should be able to make your new baby sweat.

Let's just say it's a bit more demanding than one would expect and probably not super-well optimized. Still a very nice game, though! :)

Project CARS and Alien Isolation... Mortal Kombat is bad optimiced. Also i would try Doom demo.

I mean, MK have nice graphics, but the game is a really bad port. Locked 60 FPS, when you do fatality and the camera goes slow motion it locks to 30FPS, the cinematics also locked to 30 FPS.

I think the most demanding AND fun might be:
I aimed to build my first desktop last december, however I was disencouraged to invest around $1.5K for a gaming machine... by the end of January I changed strategy, I started buying budget pieces on sale and now I'm only missing RAM for a $600 rig with an RX 470, I hope that next month I will build it and test it out with Witcher 2+3, Xcom 2, Doom, Wolfenstein and a couple of other backlogged games of mine.
What's your CPU-GPU combo? :D

wow! Really nice specs, you will be able to run anything 1080p60 on Very High and most things at Ultra! I've also cut my spendings on games to buy my rig, I have already a huge backlog to assassinate SOONish :3

Skyrim with lots of massive graphic overhauls? 2k to 4k textures should be a nice test.
EDIT: Sorry, should have searched thread for "Skyrim" before I recommended it.

I know that you don't want to buy new games only to do some benchmarks, but maybe you should consider a month of Origin Access. It's great value for money and has plenty of games suitable for testing new hardware: SW Battlefront, Crysis 3, Titanfall, Battlefield Hardline, Dragon Age Inquisition and 10hrs trials of Battlefield 1 & ME Andromeda.
EDIT:
And from your library: Bioshock Infinite, Remember Me, Thief, DMC, GRID 2, Far Cry 3, Metro 2033 & LL

Didn't knew about Origin Access, that's a good feature, not sure I'll use it but good indeed! And it's actually like a bundle price, not that much; I was looking for games just to launch and try but there's exclusives I would really enjoy playing, like Mirror's Edge Catalyst, Unravel, PvZGW2, even Crysis 3 (which I would like to play but after 1 and 2).
BSI I would like to play after BS2, but still can be used as benchmark, same for DMC; I'll think about the others too!

FWIW, The Talos Principle ran well on my current seven-year-old computer with a GTX 260 card in it. (It even runs... well... it runs on my mini Linux computer that doesn't have a dedicated graphics card. But it doesn't run all that well.) Tomb Raider also ran very well on the 260.
I finally upgraded to a GTX 750 TI semi-recently and ABZU and DOOM both run very well on that, with no other changes. DOOM sometimes takes some time to load, and has occasional lag only on very large maps, but otherwise looks amazing and runs smoothly. i.e. although it looks awesome, it's running great on my (relatively) potato computer, and might not be the best benchmark for gauging whether or not other games will work -- DOOM is extremely well-optimized by its dev team, imho. I'm still on a Core 2 Duo (3.0 GHz), but have 8 GB of RAM installed (this helps a lot for many games), and am running 64-bit Win 7. (It was impossible to run it at all on the 260 due to not having the DX shader levels it required.)
I still haven't tried it again since the game's launch, but ARMA 3 ran terribly on the old graphics card -- almost playable, but not really. (ARMA 2 was fine.) It might be a good test.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is also practically (seriously) unplayable on my mini Linux computer, but I saw a significant performance improvement on that one when upgrading the graphics card on my 7-year-old computer. So that could be another good benchmark.
Ditto +1 to Skyrim (although when I doubled RAM up to 8 GB from 4 is when I really saw a significant difference there, in load times).
I haven't tried the others on your list (yet...).

As some of you may be already aware of, it's been a few months since I had a PC; I wanted a new one, so I built it, but it gave me a lot of problems and still I'm unable to use it but...it will solved in a week probably.
It will powerful enough to run everything the market has to offer, but I would like a few suggestions to test it.
I don't have many taxing games on my library, since I'm used to old PCs, but I have a few which I would like to use (list below); still I'm looking for more, the more the better, I want to make a video montage of my benchmarks when I can!
I'm not willing to buy any new game to make this benchmark, nor to pirate it, but I would be happy if you have a few free suggestions I could use, like demos (i.e. Doom), benchmark tools (i.e. RE6) or free trials (i. e. Titanfall 2); or just simply games from my library.
These are the games I'm planning on running for test as now:
ABZÛ
Alien: Isolation
Batman: Arkham Knight
Dead Rising 3
MGS5 Ground Zeroes
Mortal Kombat X
Ryse
The Talos Principle
Tomb Raider
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Redux
Project CARS
+
Doom (demo)
Dishonored 2 (demo)

Thank you everyone, my new PC has arrived and I've done a lot of tests, thanks a lot for your feedback, especially for the Origin Access thing, which helped me a lot!
