So I got my new pc yesterday and upgraded to the Creators update for Windows 10. With the pc I ordered a wireless XBone gamepad.

So I went through the directions and paired it using bluetooth (which I STILL say sounds like a dangerous dental disorder).

So, does anyone kn ow how I know the game I want to use works wirelessly? So far, I got back into Tera online and it doesn't support it at all. I am almost done downloading Shadow Over Mordor and would like to know if anyone has used the gamepad with it in bluetooth mode or how I know if I can.

Thanks.

Old games might not support the new controller / wireless so i'd say this one is still the best, also on a sidenote, wireless might be annoying when batteries charge runs out while you're playing.

Is this a question about Steam games? Steam store pages indicate controller support

I know that but not every game supports the bluetooth gamepad unless I use it wired and that kind of defeats the purpose of the bluetooth.

Are there any games you know of that support the wired controller but not the bluetooth version? I wasn't aware of that.

Technically, it should. Have you checked out the device properties for the controller? Maybe you're missing a driver.

The "controller support" tag can be misleading; While xbox controllers use x-input (which is what the majority of games over the last few years), most games up until a few years ago used direct input. As a result, some games that are labeled as having controller support may not work with the xbox controller.

I should also mention that I have never owned an Xbox gamepad or a wireless one. Always used the Logitech F310 but I wanted a more sturdy one.

Maybe your system is still treating it like the Logitech. Have you tried uninstalling the Logitech controller drivers?

I didn't install the Logitech on the new pc yet.

It's now supported as a Steam Controller so launch big picture and configure it, or see if https://github.com/x360ce/x360ce works.
