"had it taken" is fine.

Its quite expensive for what it is but looks reasonably close to the item you linked.

"Doudou lapin" probably isn't the brand, those are just the french words for "bunny blanket" (Kaninchendecke). Were those actual feet and hands? most brands just have knots at the edges of the blanket.
The selection of those is huuuuuge. If there's a picture of it you might try using a google reverse image search.

No luck, only got one picture where the bunny portion takes around 15% space and is bundled with another plushy.
It had actual paws for hands and knots for feet.
The one i linked in OP actually is the closest it get´s, head´s exactly the same for instance.

Sadly it´s missing feet and paws which her´s apparently had.
Could it be something like this?

Yeah there are looots of bunny doudou out there, trust me. My niece lost her precious doudou and we looked for weeks to find a similar one.
We ended up making up a very long story about how plushies grow up as their owner does and they change like kids do so we could give her a new one, which she bought. Whew.
Do you know if the head was detailed or mostly just rabbit shaped?
This one, I've seen a lot
Calindoudou

From the pic i know it was pretty basic round shaped head, just like the one in my opening post.
The one from your link is much more detailed. Starting to think her mum will have to come up with a nice story aswell. So far the exact same one remains in hiding.

had it had taken from her and trashed by a meanie
What kind of monster can do that to a child ? Please tell me it's another kid and not a grown up adult.
Below is a screenshot of a search in google.fr from a french IP. If you see something that may fit come back to me and I'll give you the exact link.

It's so terrible that someone (even a child) would do that!
I really hope you do find the right doudou.
Some that I have found:
https://www.thebabyscorner.be/en-us/doudou-konijn-moonie-cream-0132971--99%3Dcream
https://www.fun.be/boum-doudou-konijn-wit-3-stuks.html
https://www.fun.be/my-friend-konijn-doudou.html
The websites are in dutch, but I think you might be able to change it to french. I searched for "doudou konijn" since "konijn" is dutch for bunny.
Best of luck! 🍀
Edit: I also found this:

Well, I'm french. I don't know any brand named that way but that type of design for a doudou is pretty common, tho, I was never really interested by that, so I couldn't help u much, but, If I see a shop that sells something similar I will totally send u a pic ;) (Probably ask owners of kids/plush shops if they have heard of this brand)
Tho if I might say something useful: "Doudou de Lapin sounds weird in french (because we wouldn't phrase it that way for a brand's name), so I highly doubt it's a french brand, it's probably an asian one or it's just the product description and not the brand name (still I will search anyway).
Where did your friends got that plushie ? From a trip to france maybe or internet ? It might help me to have clues where to search !
Like, if you have a plushie in a clothing store like this one, there is only the logo on it and probably the description of the product at the back (like doudou de lapin), but the brand wouldn't be doudou de lapin: https://www.okaidi.fr/doudou-plat-lapin-marionnette-multicolore-6069

As other said, "doudou de lapin" which is grammatically incorrect is certainly not the brand for it, it would be like me saying in English "doudou of bunny". Now if you can find the brand and a picture that would be amazing. For now I'm going to give you two lead which hopefully will help.
As I live in France I'll help you if you need me to contact a shop and if you find the right plush and can't get it send to you, I'm fine getting it to my home then back to you. We can do it, we'll check every bunny, blanket, tissue pink with paws until this little lady gets her friend back.

Had a visit by the kids mum yesterday and she confirmed that http://en.doudouetcompagnie.com/ is the one \o/
I´ve been told again that the correct bunny is out of production, and i could´nt for the life of me navigate the page w/o throwing a tantrum... But they even have a lost doudou service, so this no isolated problem at all! o_O

Update on this, I eventually found the exact brand of that bunny you show in your picture which is "Nobodinoz" and is often sold as a "bio" doudou with a few other similar brands. I didn't find any with paws though, since I made an image search I found this little buddy by the very French brand "Petit bateau" which is flat, pink and with paws https://www.petit-bateau.fr/doudou-lapin-bebe-en-cote-acier-marshmallow/5568702.html?lgw_code=14040-5568702450&gclid=CjwKCAjwoc_8BRAcEiwAzJevtUsNWoD68-lrpyLtOcymwq09uBE5ULv1tFRqSfEoCytgnqyBrHcxEBoCzVoQAvD_BwE
I'm crossing fingers and toes !

Did your friend buy it in France or was it a gift? If your friend bought it they might have a receipt, or some transaction history in their bank account that could help to identify the brand? As many people already said "doudou de lapin" isn't a brand name, it's just the French name for that particular type of plushie. But maybe it was sold to them under that name, like on Ebay or something, and they mistook it for the brand?

Update: Correct company found! (Thx Khayta! <3), plushy is going to get replaced. All is well, or so i´ve been told. Mother was concerned about the costs of "lost doudou replacement" service, but apparently the costs are covered by the organization where the bunny-napping took place.
Happy End!?
I´ll dig this thread up once i know how it all turned out!

Great to hear this, congratulations on resolving the issue! :)

That's an excellent news. Since the website isn't exactly in English and you had some troubles to navigate in there, I'll explain to you how the replacement works and why it doesn't matter at all if the doudou is out of production or not.
Every doudou has a number you can register on the website which makes it easier in case of loss or need of repair. While a doudou can be out of stock, which is absolutely normal as there are new models every few months, it doesn't mean they throw away the pattern or the material needed to make that same doudou again. Thus in case of loss, you only need your number (or a picture at least so they can find it in their collection), for them to remake it.
If the mother needs my help to fill the whole file for the loss, I can help, we'll just use mail or Discord so I can input the information and get things going. As for the rest, I advice the mommy to register the next doudou in case it happens again. Kids losing their doudou or the doudou getting so damages that it's beyond repair is extremely common, but as far as I know they are the only one who have such a service which is amazing if you didn't think of buying 10 copy of the same doudou as soon as your kid bonded to it ,) !

Taking note of that last bit about buying 10 copies! Not planning on having kids myself but still great advice.
I´ll let you know if/when anything new comes up. Thx for your efforts!
I´m Just glad it all turned out well so quickly. Was´nt involved as much and never knew about the insurance coverage - a surprising positive i guess, unless the replacing process gets dragged out due to too many parties involved. Fingers crossed =)
Thanks for all the help so far! All you guys!

My mother had a lot of copies of my doudous, and when it was getting all dirty and with holes, etc. She would take it from me to wash it, and magically all the holes and dirt would disappear since I got a brand new one. I thought it was really smart of her to do so and never forgot the lesson :)

Wow, your mother is very wise, respect!
Your sleuthing skills also deserve respect. It's always cool to see stories like this get resolved.

Khayta for the win! Great sleuthing there, buddy!
I'm slapping my head because when I told my sister about it (she worked on the Petit Bateau website for years), she told me "too bad it's not Petit Bateau because they have the Doudou Perdu thing and they would have replaced it right away" and I was like "wow that's really cool" but didn't look at their doudous. Duh.
You rule, as always ;)

Jeej! I'm glad the company was found!
I had also posted that company but I guess you missed my post.
Great that the place where the bunny napping happened will cover the cost.
Did the culprit get punished?

Hi SG´s!
I´m headhunting for a specific cuddling toy that a friends daughter, who is still heartbroken three weeks later, had it had taken from her and trashed by a meanie. I already turned to google, but it seems that this specific plushy is out of production. It being a french item does´nt make the search easier.
The brand name is "Doudou de lapin" and the one she´s missing was alot like the one on this link: close but no cigar
Sadly it´s missing feet and paws which her´s apparently had. That, and the cuddling blanket feature are must have´s, or so i´ve been told.
So please, any french guys out there, if you happen to know where to get one, or wanting to give yours away, i´m all ears! (pun not intended)
As i mentioned headhunting, i think a succesful match (!) could be gratified with something --- deffo not Cyberpunk 2077 --- but i would try making it worth your time and generosity.
