I have a couple of steam keys. They are not from Indie bundles. Will these still work or could it be that they won't be valid anymore. I would like to give them away but i don't want to give them away and get a response from the winner saying that it doesn"t work anymore.

IIRC, steam keys never expire. So if you're worried they expired, you shouldn't be. Though if the question isn't that, but whether you used them already or sent them to a friend and you're not sure what to do, I'd advise not starting a giveaway until you check.

I haven't used them or sent them to somebody else. I was worried they would expire or just not work anymore.
Thanks.

As you were told above, unless someone else redeemed them, they don't expire. I redeemed a half life key from a retail copy I bought at least 12 years ago.

I had a bundle key I activated 6 months after it came out, a lot of steam worksgames sit in shops for a fair awhile, picked up a L4D which was on sale a year and a bit ago (that must have been on the shelf for sometme) worked fine

If you posted it here as in on the forum it would be madness. I thought you could verify that they work?

It's not possible to check a key for validity. If you don't already have the game, trying it will consume it. If you do already have the game, it'll give an error message about you already having the game (and it'll say that even if the key is already used).
