Any recommendations under $7.75 would do. Thanks.

So I'm leaning towards getting battleblock theater or buying To the Moon, One Way Heroics, and Bastion(hopefully it'll go on sale on the last day). Thanks for all of the recommendations. I'd still appreciate any more ideas people have for RPG or indie games.

I can vouch for DLC Quest, Awesomenauts, The Binding of Isaac, Bastion, Super Meat Boy, Dust: An Elysian Tail :)
Btw Isaac is Rogue-like RPG. It is Zelda for PC :P

Any of the Ys games. Even if they get ignored for any further sales, Oath in Felghana is currently within your range and well worth it. Really fun action RPGs with awesome gameplay and music.

Can support that. Oath in Felghana is a good game but it may be slightly rage inducing the first 20 hours if you wish to complete more than one of the difficulty settings. Okay, hours depend on your skill but it can be pretty hard sometimes. On the positive side I played few games where I could feel my "progress" as well as here.

You're looking at the person who has put 500+ hours into Oath and 600+ hours into Origin, that's around one third of the total time I've played on Steam. I'll admit, some of that is the game idling why I give my hands a break, but they gave me a lot of bang for my buck and you do indeed feel a major sense of accomplishment when you make progress in the game on those higher difficulties. But at the same time, there is easy and very easy if you just want to wallop on monsters like crazy without it being hard. But seriously, there's a good reason why the majority of achievements in my showcase are Ys related, but those gave me the biggest sense of accomplishment.

One Way Heroics is a really great game. For the price you can't do wrong. And if you are a bit into trading you can look around for To The Moon on steamtrades. You can get it there for a TF2 Key or lower I think. Other than that:

  • Half Minute Hero (already mentioned, I know): a fun little puzzle rpg, solve the levels in 30 seconds
  • Fly'n: Beautiful indie platformer, can not recommand it often enough
  • Full Bore: Have the price not in my mind, maybe to expensive, but it is a nice indie puzzle platformer
  • Sequence: a cheap little gem, indie rhythm game with an interesting (although a bit cliché) story
  • Mutant Blobs Attack: Indie Platformer, oblitering mankind has never been this much fun
  • Underrail: Interesting turn based indie rpg, but it is early access and not complete, although I could easily get 20+ hours out of the game

There are more, but those are some nice ideas already.

Dragon Age Origins - Ultimate Edition ($7.50 at 75% if it makes it into a good sale again) A lot of fun, challenging, and plenty of mods to add. Great game.
