I have a laptop with the spec:

Intel core i5 5200U (dual)
8GB of ram
Nvidia Geforce GT 840m 4GB
500 gb HDD + External harddrive with 500 gb
Cache SSD
Windows 8.1 64 bit.

Can i run GTA 5 on low/medium with normal fps?

yes, it's not perfect, you should always try the game first but it's still faster than just asking or confronting manually the specs.

oh yeah and apparently now you can get a refund on steam if u have spent less than 2 hours in game, so if it dosent work, return it

I have the same laptop specs and on high settings you will get solid 30 fps on 1366x768 but the problem is that the processor is heating very fast so you should use a cooler or something.

yes but on medium probably or low if you want good fps like close to 60 constant.
