Brothers: A tale of two sons would be my guess, you might be even able to buy something else too. (example FTL: Faster then Light i suppose)

bored game it's just a emotional game whitout any dialog, isn't the best option if he only have 5$ and it's really short game, once played never touch again.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Better than some games with absurd filler content. Though it's true, Banner Saga, FTL or similar has replayability and gameplay, while Brothers is a story/experience that's almost as long as a movie and costs way less. Not every game supposed to be a long, epic RPG, sometimes it's just good to have a little peaceful story between saving various worlds and realities :)

but this game in particular need some voices to be a very good game.whitout voices just seems a minigame that you find everywhere using google whit better graphics.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It absolutely does not need - the storytelling is based on voice intonation, body language and the game's music. It was made without a language to be available for anyone - it's a huge achievement in game development that they could do this, resulting easier identification. ( MInigames don't have a story, while Brothers' strong point is the story itself - the lenght alone won't make a game a "minigame")

Do you have Steam Wallet or real money? Because Dishonored GotY is $10.19 on Amazon right now, and with the $5 promo credits you can buy it for $5.19. That's a pretty sweet deal, I'd say.

That 5 credit deal was until 24th of december, so he should already have gotten that too.

question is, is it region locked to US?

No, it's region-free. It activates just fine outside the US.

Just checked that. Sadly the $5 credit doesn't seem to apply to any digital game I checked :\

The promo thread I linked to was a bit unclear. There were actually two promos. You could get $5 credit for downloading certain apps using Amazon Underground app before December 24. This promo credit only works for physical purchases. But you could (maybe still can?) also get another $5 credit for entering a friend's referral code within that Underground app. This promo credit works for both physical and digital purchases priced over $10.
By the way, by purchasing Dishonored GotY you get another credit valid for purchase of Kung Fu Panda HD for free. ^^' But this one requires a valid US credit card, by the looks of it.

Rogue Legacy, brothers a tale of two sons, forced, Monochroma, FTL, Dungeon of the Endless, Witcher 2, Blackhole, Max: The Curse of Brotherhood seem all solid choices depending on tastes ofc. You could even get two of them for that price. At least I would.

Alternatively there are also these :

Transistor
Crypt of the Necrodancer
Legend of Grimrock 2
Banner Saga

Yeah it's back to 7,49€ for me as well now, after being off-sale for a couple of days. I guess they set the sale to end sooner on accident and then later they added it back on sale when they realized.

Any old AAA games that are still worth playing like : Far Cry 3, Max Payne 3, Batman game, or anything else?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Those are all great. Fallout: New Vegas too. I'm afraid I was in a similar situation before, and I realised there is no one answer. Too many great games, you're best off just buying one you 1- Have wanted for a long time and 2- Feel like playing. :)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeh but i don't really know any of the cheap games at all except some indie titles that are on my wishlist i remember Far Cry 3 being a big title and Max payne 3 not that big but the world is really big. I already have fallout New vegas so :) I like open world games but i don't know if FC3 or MP3 are any good....

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

9/10 times you can usually judge from steam reviews. Overwhelming normally means you should get it regardless. But that's just what I go by. :)

Out of those two, I'd say FC3. Witcher 2 is also great though. And Sleeping Dogs. And San Andreas.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

FC3 is really good in my opinion (if you like that sort of game that is), don't know about MP3. But as Zaugr said GTA SA is really good as well.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

All of them are good choices.
Far Cry can get a bit grindy (like all Ubisoft games with their Trillion collectables) but I just platinumed FC 4 so I personly don't mind very much.

Deus Ex : Human Revolution, Assassin's Creed II. Both of them excellent games. Tomb Raider is also very good and you can have it for 5$.

Crysis 1 and 2. The 3 one is not available on steam (EA).

I prefer the first one because you are free to move and explore an island. The second one is more linear.

Crysis 1: 3.74€
Crysis Warhead: 2,49€. (I didn't played this one)
Crysis 2: 5€

Permalink

As far as I know you can ofc it is multiplied not like -50% + (-50%) = -100%. There might be coupons which can not do that, but I have never seen those yet.

You can only stack some coupons, not all of them.
