One side of me is saying "Hell yeah, another Dying Light game!
But the other is saying "R.I.P. single player experience"...

Might as well try to participate the global playtest.

Yeah, this doesn't seem to work at the moment... I can't login, all I get is a "there's a problem with your account, contact support if it persists" error message.

I'm glad the game is still alive but, the fact they kept the crafting makes it kinda hard to eat. I mean, it's nice but I don't wanna spend the entire match finding craft items .

That isn't necessarily a bad the thing. The multiplayer included in the first game was pretty good, so I have faith that they know what they're doing here. Who knows, it might have the potential blow all of the other popular multiplayer-based games out of the water.

It's a bad thing if one doesn't like PVP games, and would prefer if a franchise stayed PVE. Not every IP needs PVP, and while I'm aware of the PVP mode in Dying Light, it's definitely not what made the game good. Personally, I'd much rather they put their time towards another expansion DLC, Dying Light 2, or even Hellraid (which will probably never be released... but they don't mind reusing assets from Dying Light in a PVP version of DL, in order to make a bit of green off the survival PVP craze).

Maybe so, it's just that I don't think about developers that way. If a dev puts out a game that I really enjoy, then I will give them some credibility and look forward to whatever they decide to do in the future. Even if their new game isn't exactly my taste, you have to understand that everyone has different likes and dislikes, and that the dev may want to cater to those people.

I never play those big MP games that are popular right now (PUBG, Fortnight, ect.) but who knows, since I like Techland and the games they produce, that may change :)

Yeah, I do understand that people have different tastes, and it's obvious that we disagree on what Techland is doing. So, because I feel differently about this subject, I'm sticking with the opinion that I stated in my previous response. I'm not someone that blindly follows a dev, and is ok with everything they decide to do - I'm not afraid to criticize them. I'm someone that doesn't appreciate a dev favoring PVP over PVE, when the IP that they're using was initially a PVE focused title. I firmly believe that this PVP version only exists because they want to cash in on the survival PVP craze, and what better way to do that than by cheaply reusing assets from Dying Light?

Anyway, let's just agree to disagree.

And I completely understand that, I'm the same way. It's just that I don't start criticizing them just because they want to make a multiplayer version one of their previous titles. In a world full of sub-par survival PVP games, I'm more than happy to see a reputable dev working on one with the potential to actually be playable. And if it turns out to be crappy and/or a giant P2W moneygrab, then I'll criticize them into the ground.

But until then, I'll just be interested in seeing which direction it goes.

Anyway, let's just agree to disagree.

Yep, sounds good to me :)

Close combat PvPvE

A creative blend of PvE and PvP gameplay

ah, another 100% pvp game/mode where everyone will ignore pve since it's more "fun" to kill others.
no thanks.
