My first died around 6 months the last was Misty who was well over 3 she did so well, she was also the one that had the litter. She got too ill though with tumors so had to put her to sleep :(. Alot of people don't like rats, especially as pets but they are awesome and everyone should have a couple.

My cat!
We've (my wife and I) only had the cat for a few months now. Back in April we moved to a new town, and the house we moved into had the above cat hanging around. We figured he was just a neighborhood cat looking for pets and food, so we thought nothing of it. Over the next few days, he would spend hours at a time sitting at our front door meowing. Finally after three days of him doing this, we let him in the house, and he stuck around. We actually moved again recently, took him with us, and successfully converted this lovable stray into an indoor cat.
