Here is yet another part of my highly irregular series, where I try to find an appreciative home for some games.
Our newest entry is Rebel Cops. It was created by the same people who made This Is the Police and its sequel. You can consider this one here a spin-off from TItP2, as it has a very similar tactical gameplay but without the story portions.
Or any story, to be honest.
If you are itching for some X-Com-Lite, then this one should tickle your fancy, especially if you want to play a tactical game where you can arrest all enemies instead of murdering the entire map. (Or go full Harold Francis Callahan on them, if you wish.)
To have a shot of getting it, all you have to do is enter my freshly created giveaway for it:
However, there is a catch. As many of you who just clicked on the link have realised by now.
It is a whitelist giveaway.
To get on the said whitelist, you have to prove that the title of this topic is actually valid for you. It is simple, really. Link me your This Is the Police 2 achievement page on Steam to show that you earned the 'Caesar the Merciful' and the 'Gang Over' achievements. Once I verified that you'll temporarily get on my whitelist and you can enter the giveaway.
The giveaway runs for over a week; until 2019-09-27 17:01 UTC. You can apply two hours before this deadline.
I will not respond to individual applications, I just list the names here:

looks funny but probably not my cup of tea
have a bump
I have yet to have the pleasure (Hopefully) of both This is the Police games. I did not have Rebel Cops on my radar either, but it looks neat.
sadly i dont own the game :S
I really love the rule that you put to give away this game to those who will play. I am not one of them tho :D
This looks awesome, thanks for pointing it out!
I loved the this is the police 1! I havent played yet number 2 and thanks for showing me this one as i didnt know it! I put it in my wishlist!
I dont want (and cant) to participate in your giveaway since i dont have number 2 Have a bump talgaby!
Looks nice. I can't do what you want because i don't have this is police 2. i just finish (9/10 achievements) the first one month ago and it was great but yeah... i don't have the second for now.
TITP2 is on my wishlist, and Rebel Cops looks pretty cool as well, thanks for making me aware of it.
Good luck getting any entrants for your giveaway! :D
I never played This is Police, and my transcendental knowledge says I won't enjoy this game, so I won't be entering this.
But I really appreciate what you're doing for the community, so I came here to thank you (and bump)!
Nice indie giveaway. I don't have either This Is The Police (1 or 2), but wishlisted this when I heard about it as it sounded good and seems quite like games I've enjoyed (Hotline Miami, Doorkickers).
Also it releases on my (real) birthday, so might be a little treat to myself.
I wishlisted this game a few hours ago as it caught my eye in the top of my steam discover queue. Didn't start This is the Police 1 yet, quite ashamed about that but one game at a time.
Good luck to any participant :D
Thank you for making me take notice of this game. It looks fun.
I am finishing another turn-based title - Hard West and TItP is in my queue to play soon™, so you won't get my entry, but I am wishing the best to you and the entrants (─‿‿─)
I liked This Is the Police 1 a lot and when I saw the trailer for 2 I liked it even more; the X-Com style battles look to really add to the game. I'm waiting for the game to turn up in a Humble Monthly so I haven't played it yet,
I saw that there was a game called Rebel Cops on Steam but didn't realise it was by the same people. Thanks for the tip, wishlisted it.
I hadn't heard of TITP, but it does look quite interesting, so... that's three more games to the wishlist, I guess. I won't participate in the GA, but thanks for the recs! ;)
Already have the game wishlisted since I've always enjoyed tactical/turn-based games, but I've gotta say - while I was looking through some reviews on Steam for a game that I'm considering buying, I came across one of yours... and well, I noticed your review stats. You've written 601 reviews out of the 607 games that you own/played - I'm like whaaatttt?! If that's not impressive (especially to a Steam reviewer), I'm not even sure what is! You're truly an inspiration and I really don't say this lightly :) Kudos!
Anyway, good luck for your GA! I'll keep an eye out for more of your reviews :)
P/S: I'm not trying to get into your whitelist by the way - I don't fulfill your requirements after all. It's just such a coincidence that I was browsing through Fanatical's latest bundles (while making important purchasing decisions, of course), and well, your discussion post also happens to be on the first page of SG's discussion board+I recalled seeing your handle on SG (hence, I know you're an SG user as well).
Looks like nobody was actually playing This is the Police 2 around here. If there won't be at least three applicants, I'll have to call this off. =(
This one looks like a game I'd play but I already have a lot of games that requires attention... I think I'd better add it to my waitlist...
As a fan of turn based games, as example X-Com to name a very known one, i like the rule that you put to give away this game to those who will play.
I am none of them because if haven't played the other games.
Thank you for the game. I have put it in my WL 😊😻
Well, this was a dud. 😐
I wish I had noticed this event before I bought the game. xD I would have entered it if I'd seen it. Anyway, thank you, nevertheless.
I am a fan of the This is the Police games and I have quite enjoyed them. You have a good taste!
I saw a bit of Police 2 on youtube but was put off by the seemingly story-heavy base. I did like the first one but it's not the same x-com style game. There are probably lots who've played similar tactical turn-based like x-com, wasteland 2, Omerta and lots more etc but are waiting for police 2 to be in a bundle.
