They were using the Epic engine when they shouldn't. Now they can't sell the games and own a ****ton of cash.

That's the Unreal Engine 4. Afterfall was still built on UE3 I believe.
And even if it were UE4, if the devs actually failed to pay their royalties the end result could have been the same as they'd still get sued over not living up to the license agreement.

I kinda liked Insanity for all it's flaws. Plot was decent, art style was nice. Reconquest I find borderline unplayable with the black & white visuals. Can't see what I'm doing, so I keep dying
