I just finished Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II. I'm not sure what I should play now.

At the top of my list I've got Batman: Arkham Asylum, Tomb Raider (2013), The Witcher, Divine Divinity, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, and Risen. Some of them, I've got the sequels to. Some I don't. Assuming I like the first one, I'd probably play through them too.

Any opinions? Other suggestion that aren't on my list?

Note: I generally can't play first person games without getting ill. Occasionally, a 3rd person game'll do it too, but it's much rarer (Skyrim did). The games off my list that I've tried are all fine, but I haven't tried them all.

Thank you.

Edit: Thanks everyone.

You might enjoy Mass Effect, off the heels of the Dragon Age games. Great RPG/TPS hybrid (though the 2nd and 3rd games are more shooters) with an excellent story.

I like to start at the beginning of any series with a story.

better start with AC2 - 1st game has a lot of not-fixed bugs. And just in case you think I'm some kind of hater - I played and finished all AC games, some of them (AC1/2/B/R/4) even completed at 100% ;) So trust me, skip AC1 (ac2/B/R give you full story anyway) and start with AC2 ;)

If I can't get/can't play the first one I usually skip the whole series.

well, then it's your choice - but be advised that by skipping whole series just because of 1st game you will miss a hell of an experience.

Thing is that AC1 was generally 1st game of a whole new genre (Open World / Free Running / Action-Adventure). And as it was 1st it had some flaws. But later games were unbelieveably good. I mean really - I hate Ubisoft, but I still bought all 2-R ga,es on CD even if they were uplay not steam, to play them as soon as they were released.

I play them for the story. I HATE starting in the middle of a story.

I play games for the story as well ;) but like I said - AC1 is broken, and Ubi was well aware it's broken so they gave you a story of AC1 in AC2-R anyways. If you want to drop a game anyways because of 1 game being broken - well it's your choice, isn't it? ;)

Ok I said few things about AC series, so let me say something more about other games you mentioned ;)

Batman:AA is my favoritue game in franchise, but it all depends on what you prefer. AA is "complete" game for me. With Shitload of replayability even if it isn't Open World. Batman:AC is Op[en World but not as polished and "complete". So choice is dependant on what you enjoy more ;) Just for the the christ sake don't start with Arkham Origins - it's barelu the same game..

TR2013: I really enjoyed it, but I was aware it's a total reboot. If you expect old-style TR platforming you won't get it and you will get frustrated with all the silly QTE events. But if you want good story/lore experience this game will be great ;)

The Witcher: I love this franchise but my love for it may be flawed because I love books as well ;p Gameplay-wise 1st game is not so great - it has intresting world, lots of lore, but very dull fight mechanics - and as there's a lot of fighting it gets ultra hard as well as boring with time. On the other hand TW2 has AWESOME fighting mechanics (very skill-based, they totally re-designed it for this game), great crafting system and awesome "choose-your-own-story" mechanics that can totally change your gameplay experience based on your story choices. So if you can play at least TW2 ;)

Risen: 1st one is mediocre at most - if you liked Gothic you MAY like it as well but you won't love it. 2nd one is slightly better, but still not as good as old Gothic titles. Play only if you're eager for any open-world game, as other games you mentioned are better ;p

@Mass Effect - Go and play it ;) Best Sci-Fi story we got since KoTOR ;) And screw ME3 ending! ;p

As for Divine Divinity - well - I like this game a lot, but it is OLD. REALLY OLD. for the 1st 3 games you will get oldschool aRPG experience, but REALLY oldschool - something like Diablo2 - meaning a lot of repetitive grinding, leveling choices and if you screw up you have to start a game again. Honestly as much as I love DD series you'd better try some new genre games - like Torchlight (1&2) and Van Helsing (I only played 1st, but I've heard 2nd is even better ;)

Play Tomb Raider 2013, it's a terrific game, although unrelated to the previous Tomb Raider games (except for the title and the main character's name, of course).
I definitely recommend you to play it.
