Oh, thanks, i fixed the sentence. No, i mean i can't play even at 30FPS. Game stuttering like hell.

There is a thread on community hub how to fix FPS etc, check it out.
Also, You need a steam community profile ;p

Dark souls is limited to 30 fps. Not much you can do but use an unofficial mod to fix that. Problem is its glitchy and bad stuff could happen. Tis why I just deal with it.

My bad, changed the OP. I can't even play at 30FPS.

Problem isnt 64 bit... runs fine for me on win 7 64-bit. So might be win 8 doing it. I also have an ATI HD6850. Maybe the HD7000 series has issues idk. I truely am not tech savvy enough to help you out. Maybe there is some sort of run in Compatibility mode you could try.

I... never encountered any problems graphics and performance-wise with this. And I have like a dual core 3.6 GhZ CPU, a Sapphire Radeon HD4870 1GB GPU, and like, 6 Gs of RAM.
Although I must say, I'm getting pissed at these horrible fucking ports that seem to infest the market these days. It seems like only half of my games would let me even configure my controls because "eets eks bawks kontrawls", and it seems like a freaking rarity to get a game that doesn't tell you to press A, B, X or Y instead of some keyboard bindings.
If they want the PC audience, then why don't they make a small effort to get it? I imagine these things aren't that hard to implement, are they?

Yeah i hate that XBOX 360 Controller tyranny as well. If you don't have X360 controller, you suck, they say.

I want to recall that there was a fight to get a PC port at all, with From Software wanting to release a PC port (though admitting that they didn't really have experience in that area) and Namco-Bandai not wanting to bother.
Maybe the sequel will have a better quality PC port, now that Namco-Bandai is willing to throw money at the franchise. (Unfortunately, that is because Namco-Bandai has decided the Dark Souls franchise is an exploitable money tree, and their executives probably have dreams of making Skyrim money from it. Dark Souls could be in a for a dark future.)

I'm not sure if Dark Souls has any graphics options, but if it does try setting everything on low. It's a horrible port and your graphics cards aren't very good, so don't expect the game to run very well.

his GPUs are better than mine, and it runs fine for me...

Even it's mobile GPU, not bad at all. I can play Battlefield 3 on medium-ultra mixed, Sleeping Dogs at maximum and so on. Good for me. Especially playing everything with natural 1366x768 resolution, that's really good.

Trying now. I'll inform you as well. Thanks ^^
edit: Nothing changed ^__^ But i found something. Check the original post if you want to see my solution. Thank you again.

DSfix? Already using but as i mentioned before, it doesn't make any difference. Thanks anyway :)

I've used DSFix, (previous versions, it's been a while since I played it)
Although no steamworks for me, rather stand alone, I have AMD, and ATI vga, so no framedrops for me, whatsoever.
All you can do is edit and tweak the INI file according to author's indications, google for others suggestions as well,
in my case the game worked flawlessly, looked GREAT (comparing vanilla console version, to what DSFix allows you to do).
Just see what settings work best for you, had to do with AA and filters, if resolution is setted too high you don't need filters.

Actually that gave me an idea: disabling Steam in-game. Who knows, maybe that's the problem. Thanks :)

I heard that you might get your game banned from GFWL if you use DSfix or something to unlock FPS. Is it true? Cause I can't handle 30 FPS and that's why I don't want to play the game and I don't wanna unlock it's FPS cause I don't wanna lose it -.-'

It says in DSfix.ini as commentary but i don't know. I couldn't try because my game crashes when i unlock FPS cap.

Have you edited the DSFix.ini file? You might want to do that. In fact, I highly suggest you edit some of the settings in that file.
It will still require a fairly beefy computer, but even then you'll probably get some FPS drop in Blighttown. Blighttown is just horrible.

Already edited before. Now i'm trying reasonable different things. Thank you for heads up, anyway :)

It mentions overclock. For a game, i don't prefer to take risk. Thanks anyway :)

My PC sucks, AMD Athlon 5600+(dual 2.8ghz), 3gb ram, geforce 460GTX and I never lagged on Dark Souls.
Did you read the whole install instructions in the DSFix readme? BTW I don't know where you got your DSFix and I see no one has posted the Official DSFix webpage yet.
Also if you want to play with Mouse and Keyboard (which is really better than controller imo) get DSMFix.
If you are playing with Mouse and Keyboard, maybe the stuttering you are refering to is the really crappy mouse mapping, the mouse isn't smooth at all and just skips by like 5mm gaps all over the screen and it's really awkward and unplayable imo. DSMFix will fix it.

Ah, i heard about DSMFix. Never used it since playing with a controller.
I got this DSFix from Dark Souls Nexus. As you said i didn't find this version at official DSFix website.

unlock the framerate to 60 fps with dsfix
by default the game engine locks the fps at 15 if it can't reach 30 (so even at 29 fps you would still get only 15), by unlocking the fps it can go anywhere between 15 and 30 and that could be a huge improvement in certain areas like Blighttown

Can't unlock because game crashes. I'll try it again later though.

SINCE FOUND SOME SOLUTION, CLOSING THE THREAD. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMMENTS! PLEASE CHECK THE EDIT SECTION BELOW.
I'm using DSFix 2.0.1 and my Dark Souls is Steamworks. I have a brand new laptop with good specs for Dark Souls (i know AMD GPUs have problem with Dark Souls). But there is still no FPS improvement, game stuttering and not playable.
Also here is my rig:
AMD A10-4600M APU (CPU)
Radeon HD7660G (with 7610M, Crossfire, but i've tried both enabled and disabled)
8 GB DDR3 RAM
Windows 8 64-bit (maybe the problem is 64bit or Win8, i'm not sure yet)
If someone knows anything, please enlighten me.
EDIT
I've found something. Missed those strings while editing the DSfix.ini:
renderWidth 1366
renderHeight 768
That was "1920 1080" and decreased them seems solved the problem. Also i've changed FPSthreshold to 60 by recommendation of Adry05, enabled compatibility mode (Windows 7) and "run as administrator" option. I hope that one help you fixing frame rates if you couldn't be able to see decent frame rates in Dark Souls PC port.
Thanks.##
