Hey guys, it seems that I can't access any website other than Steamgifts; I can still download games and send messages through Steam, but I can't access any other site. Any idea as to what might be causing the problem?

"I can still download games and send messages through Steam".

What do you need more in life?

Jokes aside, had the same problem but couldn't open a single page. The only thing connected to the internet that was working was Steam. It was fully functional.

It fixed itself after a day or two.

Lol, you're right. :P

Now it seems to have fixed itself, after an hour or two without Internet at all. Not that it bothered me much, as, technically speaking, I'm studying for a final exam I have tomorrow.

Well, Norton wasn't working correctly today... I think Steam might have killed it!

welp, then our only choice is to take off our pants and sit at the pc to play on steam forever. Norton was our last line of defense

You've just encountered GabeN's doppelganger!

Seriously, I experienced slightly different version of it years ago. I was capable of using torrent, Steam download and messengers but i wasn't be able to use any other portion of internet. That might be a Windows DNS setting problem.

It means that you've finally achieved enlightenment. Good job. You can now add GabeN as a friend on Steam and join him in his eternal bliss.

As far as i know it gets fixed alone, if time passes and you still have the same issue contact your ISP.

Could it be a problem with your ISP DNS? (It's a long shot, but I've been locked out of sites before due to DNS problems.)
