Sooo yeah, buying these for charity is alright, but not because the deal is anything great. The most interesting games I already bought myself or were given away in the Epic Store. Ultimately it feels like a big rebundle and not all that worth it.

I recall that some months ago, leaks said Void Bastards was to be in Choice but then the bunch that came up was basically correct except for VB which ended up in the charity bundle for the fire relief in Australia. I wonder if the same has happened with Into The Breach now.

Maybe it's more marketable. I think many people would complain about how small it is compared to other charity bundles, HB is not even trying, yada-yada. But I totally get where do you come from, half the size for half the price would be more affordable, easier to drop 14€ for stuff where I own/don't want 70% than 28€.

Ugh, I've done the maths. I would keep 16 games if I bought this, I could trade away the rest for other nice games or giving them away would probably put me past the line for level 5.
I'm not going to be affected financially by this situation, but I'm really worried about my backlog. I'm not in the mood for another Sakura situation. But it's definitely going to keep me entertained when I'm a poor university student this fall if I save my backlog a bit.
(My heart tells me I would regret not buying this, so I probably will anyway)

Huh. After reading your post I did a bit of research and discovered that they indeed were doing some illegal passing of migrants, for instance from Libya to Europe with their Aquarius ship. They've kept that mostly quiet on their website, too, which is highly dishonest to donors.
Their mission statement is to provide medical care to everyone regardless of their situation, and that what most people assume and donate to them for.

So, so many games owned.. but A Mortician's Tale, A Good Snowman Is Hard To Build, Speed Brawl and Zombotron (LOVED the flash one) looks really good.
It's basically a charity bundle with the main focus on quality, and they really fucking nailed it.
But it would be reckless for me to buy it for 3-4 games. Gotta save up. (and buy monthly because monthly)

Like how 300$ for an elephant and a bowl of chicken tikka masala is great value, it's not really a good deal when I only want the food and can't do anything with the elephant.
Also we know that on SG value of something inherently will mean "the lowest amount I would pay for it because I don't need it at all" and has no connection to game length or quality at all.

A LOT of people are very cheap right now, and there's nothing wrong with that. And most people are calling it "too expensive" because they own most of it, as there are quite a few previously bundled/heavily discounted/given for free games here.
That is a perfectly fair complaint to have with a bundle store, be it fully for charity or not. People are tight with their money right now.
