Steam has no real protection against bots or alt accounts, since one of our giveaway was taken over by one person using multiple alt accounts to take part in the giveaway we put some rules in place.
Furthermore the reason for the public inventory is because, we ask you, to put your trade link under the gem giveaway announcement to be able to receive your gems much faster it's much more of a hassle to add everyone who took part in the giveaway to their friends list.
We hope that's alright with you and if it's not we apologize for the inconvenience.

Hi! Your group seems nice.
I understand for the public inventory but I don't understand for the "Set your friends list to public".

Simply to track down possible alt accounts, someone with multiple lvl 0 or privated friends seems suspicious especially after their entire friends list joining the group, entering one after another to then collectivly go offline.
I understand you might dislike or disagree with these simple rules but they are there to keep our group safe and the giveaways fair for everyone not using alts to take part in the giveaway.

I've created a new group that is purely focused on giveaways, I'll be creating game giveaways every month on SteamGifts, including the biggest releases of the year! :D
When possible I will give out more than one game each month.
We have a set of rules in place for those who wish to be part of our group, and especially if you want to partake in a giveaway. We need you to adhere to the following:
1.Set your profile to public
2.Set your game details (including playtime) to public
3.Set your friends list to public
4.Set your inventory to public
5.No posting links to other groups, or posting advertisements of any kind
6.Do NOT post about our giveaways in other groups or forums, as we often search for these
We have these rules because we don’t want legit people missing out on a game or gems to scammers and cheaters.
