so i have been trading with this guy for sometime now, i give him cards, he gives me games.
and then this happend:
the game was coh 2, it costs 4 dollars in cards. i asked if i could send one dollar now and pay the rest later (because its hard to calculate the total worth of a lot of cards, i wanted to do it in portions). and i guess he trusts me because i have been trading with him sometime and then he does this:

(the key is already used dont bother)

now. that was very unexpected xD, he diserves a whitelist though: http://www.steamgifts.com/user/xbone85x

It's Finlay. I don't expect you would ever be so foolish as to try and cheat him, so he has nothing to worry about.

The stupid mofo option is a peculiar way to point out that he rocks, I have to say.

it's not. mentioning someone's name not related to anything bad is not calling out. If someone creates a topic "best ppl on SG" and thanks all great users and I comment "yeah, I'll add Lugum, he's a great guy" would you consider it calling yourself out? ;p

"call out:

  1. To order or request to assemble or arrive somewhere; summon: call out the guard.
  2. To challenge (to a duel).
  3. To set off or direct attention to, as in being commendable or of interest: The article calls out "

The third doesn't mention anything about positive or negative, and it really all depends on definition i think.
But i don't gonna say i am a master in engish or something.
My post was only intented as a joke, same as FrAnubis did below me.

Well and if you would say that i would call it more stating the truth or obvious. ;p

It is "calling out" by definition. However, the site rule prohibits a very specific kind of "calling out," and thus the OP is not in violation of said rule.

It's calling out because I'm pretty sure Finlay is gonna get a bunch or random adds after this.. unecessary attention towards him.

You should have blacked that key out, someone could try to actiavte it which could cause steam to spam emails to you.

nope. you can "call someone out" on something bad he did. in this example it's just mentioning someone. mentioning =/= calling out.

Yeah it's nice, and everyone should be like him. While we at it, an encomium to Idiosyncratic for being nice! Also, I once bought costly game packs from a guy in Steam, and went first. So I'm nice too :D

Had a similar situation a while back. Due to the 7 day restriction thingy after you purchase something on the market I wasn't able to pay him right away and suggested we'd trade when I was able to but the trader just gave me the key in advance, before I got to pay him. Seems like there still are kind people out there :)

Well, that happend to me too :) I was trading with one girl, she had Thief: Master Edition, she wanted 2 TF2 keys. I bought them, but that fucking system of 1 week waiting is fucked up. So I told her, if she is able to wait week due that restriction. She just gave me game and said to enjoy it. I was very happy and pleasured. I send her keys after one week. She wrote to me, that I am so kind, because she forgot about it ^^

And I have some friends like this too :) they are really nice people. They know I am paying my debts (Lennister aprooved :D), so they don't have problem to trade with me ^^

But I must say truth. I would never do it with a stranger, I don't trust people :)

There are tons of random great people. There are so many of them right here actually, who give games for free expecting nothing in return!
For example, I was interested in a Bundle a couple weeks ago and because I couldn't buy it a person adds me and bam... he gifts it to me :)

Internet is full of kind people as real life is, but unfortunately there are always some bad ones around

They always do everywhere. It's difficult for people to remember the good ones. On the other hand, the bad ones are memorable due to their actions (Don't ask me why that happens :D )

That is indeed nice of him and there are a lot of other nice people too, I don't see why you're linking us his page as if we should whitelist him though. I mean if someone wants to they can but I don't really agree with this kind of "promotion" of another person - I get you're trying to be nice but I don't know, I just don't see the reasoning behind posting his profile.

If you think you are doing him a favour with this thread just think about how much people is going to think: "Hey that guy is very naive, let's try to scam him!" -> +50% friend requests in his profile right now.

I recently got 2 Batman Arkham Knight keys and I was asking for 10-11 CSGO keys in exchange. Problem is that nowadays there is a 7 days trade lock on newly bought keys, so I would have to wait 7 days in order to complete the trade with both of the guys I was negotiating with. Doesn't matter, I just went ahead and gave the game keys to the other parties, knowing that the chances of being scammed were not that slim (I wasn't, just to mention). The thing is, I don't really care much about trades anymore, because of regional restrictions, and I also have a shiload of money in my inventory, so I usually don't mind going first.
