Authentication is made on Steam website, not on SteamGifts. So you will have to connect to Steam on your phones browser even if you use an app for SteamGifts.

Making apps that are just poorly presented mobile versions of websites is a practice that needs to die. App or website you still need to connect to/download the same content/data. If you have poor internet you'll still have poor internet using an app.

you need to pay $100 per year in the apple store... pretty expensive just to have an app for users to log in. also, it will probably be time consuming to develope an app for android/windows/iphone.

Even though you have to pay a fee on Android (I believe most of us use it) you would be selling maybe 50% more ads (Because the page and the app would have it).
So even if it could be annoying (come on, no one likes mobile ads) it could be profitable, in my opinion. Maybe i'm wrong.

Not needed, but i will prefer that the focus would be the forum, or at least the trade section, i mean apart from what you said about your slow internet, if people are away from the pc or somewhere else they wont be able to activate they wins while they are away.

I think they took it down because it was not working anymore with SteamGifts v2. It was not official anyway.

That would depend on the screen resolution your phone supports. It's not that phone browsers can't handle the site, it's that if you have a low enough resolution, the site becomes a hassle to use.

There's one for Windows Phone, not sure about other platforms. So far this one's working enough for me.

Why don't create an app for steamgifts where the users can join to giveawasy, receive notifications when they win a new game, among others. An app like the web page, in Android and if it's possible for iPhone too.
I think this is better because some people (like me) have a bad Internet connection or their PC is too slow so opening a new tab or changin of web page to enter a Giveaway can be annoying.
