What would you do?
Huh, you would think the police would have been marked as an essential service.
Good luck with the purge! :D
Are you hunting or hiding?

Hello SG.
So here, in the ever so interesting Irish Republic, our police force, the Gardaí, are going on strike tomorrow. Yes. Because money. From 7am tomorrow (Friday!) for 24 hours, our national law & order upholders are having a strike. 90% of the force will not be reporting for work, with some branches still operating. Branches like "Emergency Response" (our police don't carry guns but this branch does), "Witness Protection", "Immigration", "VIP Protection" (self-explanatory, but interestingly, also the branch that protects our politicians) will all be operating, but like I said, that's somewhere around 10% of the force.
Nobody actually knows for sure if this will actually happen, I think a lot of people think the Gardaí don't actually have the balls to do this. But if they do, well I can't even. This has been talked about for weeks, so people have known it might be coming. We have received no communication from our Government about wtf is happening or what to do tomorrow night.
But this has got me thinking about that film The Purge. I haven't actually seen it, but I know what it's about. It makes me wonder, what will people do? Some people here are taking the day off work, to stay home. Would/will you stay home? Or would/will you go out? Maybe hop the back fence and nick the neighbour's fancy new microwave?
