I like Note 2, it's so Big...xD
But S4 is more efficient, but it's a little bit small. :(

Tried both Iphone 4s and S3 when they came out. Iphone is bad functionality wise compared to the android phones. Never going buy an apple product again.

Jiayu G3 (or g4, unsure if that one is already released). Cheap as hell but awesome. Never nor never will I buy another overpriced 'brand' phone.

Got mine for 165 euro including shipping from Hong Kong :p

Not as awesome as you imply, it's somewhere between the Galaxy S and the Galaxy S2 as far as performance goes. So it's not overpriced, but it's a different product altogether. The G4 might be worth checking, but the G3 definitely isn't.

I didn't say 'awesome' like I would say 'the best in the world', for 165 euro including shipping it is an 'awesome' phone. Also thiz one has a 720p screen while the S2 has a shitty 480p screen! :p (yeh performance is the same as the S2 :()

Bought mine ages ago and no idea how it 'good or bad' the G4 is but the g3 pwned back then (and still does imo :p I don't see a reason yet to upgrade mine, still able to run everything without any issues ^^) and it was 60% cheaper compared to brand crap with the same specs. But yeh nowadays the g4 (or a shitload of other 'chinese brands' with other high end smartphones) are the the better choice. :p

I've tried the demo for both phones. I would go for the S4 for one simple reason; the screen quality is much better than Note 2 and the colors are brighter and more vibrant.

Yeah ... the screen is so fucking amazing.

I went for s4, better screen, better OS, Note2 was too big for my hands (and I'm 25 y/o) etc. etc.

The Note 3 is going to be even bigger with a rumored screen size bigger than 5.5".

The S4 screen is bigger than the S3, yet the phone is slightly smaller. They might go the same route with the Note 3.

Get the S4 Google Edition if you are in the USA (announced at Google I/O and releasing sometime in the next couple of months).

It's the S4 running stock Android - i.e. no TouchWiz / Samsung bloatware.

I'd recommend Nexus 4 as it's vanilla Android (hence not burdened by Samsung's TouchWiz interface), but since it's not an option then Note 2. I currently have Galaxy Nexus and I sometimes crave for just a bit bigger screen. Addition of stylus on Note series is also nice :)

I'm in the same quandary. Going to buy a phone soon. Can't decide between the two. Although I'm leaning more towards S4.

I think we need to buy S4. :)) It's more efficient ...

Note has a pen which is awesome feature
Nexus is pure android which makes it a better phone
S4 is just overpriced/oversized phone (Note at least has a pen, S4 has nothing)

but I would recommend buying small, cheaper phone and (tablet) Google Nexus 7 (199$) if you need big screen.

Note III! Coming at the end of this year, I asked a Samsung guy..

I was about to buy S4 but after hearing about its bad things (e.g. overheat rather fast etc), I decided to wait for Note III!

Get the s4 octa core if you want, note 2 is good but it's large size can be a problem. Source : Have Note 1, 2, sIII and sIV

In Romania, we have don't have octa core. :(

As far as I heard the quad and octa are not that different in performence :)

You can watch youtube reviews and see that the difference is maybe in 5~10% max

Got the S4 and I defenitely recommend it. The 5" full HD screen is definitely in a league above that of the Note II. The rest of the specs are slightly better too.

the screens aren't much different other than size, i guess if you go buy straight dpi, the s4 screen is a tad better. But I have the note II and my brother has the s4.

I find the 5" 1080p screen of the S4 much cripser than the 720p 5.5" screen of the Note II. The color rendition has also been improved on the S4.

Pro tip, you can't tell the difference between 1080 and 720 on such small screens. despite what people say.

Correction, YOU can't. There are some people who CAN. Everyone's eyes and brain do not work at the same speed as the 'average' human.

I can't see individual pixels, of course, but I can still see a difference in image sharpness when I put them side by side.
