try to remove x-com folder if u got one in folder where all steam games are installed

If re-sync doesn't solve the problem, and you've played XCOM as part of the free weekend, you can enter my alternate giveaway by posting in this thread.

Add XCOM to your wishlist and should be one of the 15 top, and it should fix the problem.

Just found this out so I'm posting it in the latest thread of this kind: If, for whatever reason, nothing seems to help and you have to wait and don't want to miss a minute you can use "Is There Any Deal". In the settings there is the option "Notify me about suspicious activity on my Collection." which sends you an email if e.g. a game gets removed from your account, which works fine for free weekend games.
