Yeah, I'm agreeing with this. You had plenty of time to cancel the giveaway before it ended. You asked 10 minutes before the end. Personally, if I was a mod, I'd give you two choices. Give away the game while it's cheap or face a ban.

It may not be the first time, but it's very clear what you're doing when you're creating a giveaway (he's been here for two weeks and entered nearly a hundred other giveaways, so he can't rely on the ridiculous logic that he thought he'd get the game by making one). On top of that, he waited until nearly the very end of his giveaway before ever trying to stop it.

Then why not say it in a neutral way? I understand that fake giveaways are annoying, but he didn't do it on purpose (I suppose...) and tried to stop it. The latter admittedly too late, but it's the good intention that counts.
And yeah, it's kinda obscure that this is happening as often as it does.

I have a feeling people would be nicer about it if he apologized for his mistake and politely asked for it to be cancelled, instead of ordering the mods to remove it as if it's their error or something.

He says It's a trap and doesn't even mention anywhere that hes sorry or that it was an accident and is somewhat rudely demanding for it to be deleted, i think a ban is in order if hes deliberately doing it to annoy people.

interestingly 337 people joined DESPITE him warning in the description that it is a trap and no game will be given (not seeing he is right, but that the entrants are also at fault). Also, it is now clear to me that no one bothers to read the description including the commenters. I used to believe the commenters were actually showing some thanks and reading the description to see what the giveaway maker had to say and then joining. Instead, I now see that it is basically, click "enter", type "thanks" submit comment, close tab ritual. I think both the giveaway maker and everyone who entered the giveaway after he wrote that he didn't have the game should be banned.

337? That's not that many compared to the 749 robots who entered a giveaway in which I explicitly warned them about how the creator had just signed up a few hours ago, had recently created a "mistake giveaway", was banned, and had zero items in his inventory.
Anyway, it's not all bad: if all the robots enter fake giveaways, they end up wasting more of their points, thus ensuring (or, at least, increasing the possibility that) someone more worthwhile will actually win. That said, I actually recently created a group giveaway and then, just before the final day, edited the description to link to a private giveaway. Of the 1,092 people who entered the original giveaway, 133 entered the private one.
