Keeping Mum (2005) with Rowan Atkinson & Kristin Scott Thomas. I watched it yesterday and liked a lot. Also I recently Cloud Atlas I spent a very good time.

The Fighter is an amazing movie. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it.

Apocalypse Now(my favorite for now). It's quite old but as much you see, more you will see. I don't know how to explain, I'm just a small man...

Also Star Wars trilogy. a classic.
Gangster Squad is great too.

Here's a list if you're into the hipster/arthouse side of cinema, in addition to some movies that are actually enjoyable by anyone (like Alien, Terminator 2, stuff like that). The list is ridicoulously biased as there's almost no recent titles there, but at least they have a 21st century list to make up for it. If you're more into popular stuff, to the IMDB Top 250 you go.
