For Spyro the 2nd and 1st game in the trilogy there are no achievements for beating the boss, but I got the achievements that are gained during the boss levels, if needed could provide screenshots in DMs

100% achievements is a solid stopping point. All those guild missions have an even harder challenge mode after them.
I did the normal difficulty of all of them and had a good time, and felt finished with the game after, if you really like the game I do recommend checking out all those guild missions some are unique and give more opportunities to experience the variety the game has to offer.

All because the core gameplay is ultimately watching a "soap opera" but new-age, with "trauma" this and that. I found, it took too long to set things up, and in the end most of "right" choices were too obvious, pop therapy, not challenging anything in me. |

After playing: It's certainly good! 3d-platformer gameplay is rage-baity at times, but I've seen worse (flying fish segment in "I Am Fish"). Some reviewers felt ambushed by number of puzzles this game has. I also didn't expect but also didn't mind them. What really surprised me is the high level of writing and voice-acting, but strangely all delivered by slideshow cutscenes that look like storyboards for future animation, for which, It seems, they didn't have budget to make. It's tough out there for indie studios, indeed. |

I feel you! Verlet Swing has insane difficulty curve. Last levels are made as tribute to Satan, nothing less.
Last year I did it for a CJ's event. The final level took me 6hours to beat.
But great-great-great game in the end. Especially when it's at last beaten. 🙂

Hi, I updated website with check achievements functionality but you have to provide your own steam api key and steamid(you can do it for any user you want). So you might be able to find more games you can do.(if it's "Can do? Unknown" I can't promise you can do it) I made it so green is for games you own but don't have any achievements and red for games "Can do? No" and you do own but have achievement already

I could try to jump on board for some month as well, probably have bunch of unplayed games from monthlies/choice bundles.
Just wanted to make sure - the challenge to play 6 games is targeted at any game from all choice/monthly bundles? As in - apart from MP and no-steam games, there is no limitation to the bundle itself or genre?
What usually made me scratch my brain was e.g. "the scifi edition" and somehow made me think I would have to play specifically scifi games from choice bundles (which could be a challenge to find) or that I would have to take one bundle and play all games from that one bundle (which again would be hard because I probably have 1 or 2 games played from each). But I guess I can just pick up any 6 unplayed games from all chioce/monthly bundles, correct?
What if I pledge a game for a month, do not get the chance to even start it in that said month, can I use it again for next month?

Yes, the games just need to be from the monthly/choice bundle. Games with a clear ending in the form of an achievement are the best for it, but you can prove it even with a screenshot from the end/credits/etc.
"The scfi-fi edition" title serves as a hint/description of a game (= The Alters) being given by Cj. Last month was "The Beautiful Journey Edition" and the game being given away was Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
If you don't start the game in the current event, then you are safe to go in the next one. ;)

Hello and welcome to the madness!
The challenge is simple: Play and beat any 6 games, starting today, that have been featured in any given Humble Monthly/Choice bundle in one month.
The prize: 2x The Alters
Note: This means I'm giving away two copies of the game and will have 2 winners.
Game length does not matter and I'm not looking for 100% achievement runs. So long as you play and beat 6 games, I'm happy. You can go easy mode and play a bunch of 1h games or go crazy and play 6 +30h games. So long as they were in a monthly at a given point, it is all good.
Just post a comment with either screenshots/ achievements showing that you fulfilled the criteria and I'll add you on Steam and give you the link. Feel free to share your thoughts on the games you've played, but it is not required.

Why you doing this?
I hate money. That and I realized I've been subbed to the monthly for over nine years (yes it has been that long, I checked) and it occurred to me that I've barely touched the games I've gotten from it, let alone played them. Figured the same would be true for a few others, so I figured this is a good way to change that. A sensible person would probably unsub in this situation, but please refer to the beginning as to why that will not happen.
I've played the first X minutes of a game, can I pick it for the event?
No. You cannot have any play time or achievements prior to the start of the event. The only exception is idle time from farming Steam cards.
Can I play a MP only game?
No. It needs to have an "end" in order for me to count it as beaten, so it needs to have a campaign/story mode.
If a game was sold as a non-Steam copy in a bundle (origin/uplay/drm-free/etc), can I pick it as a choice if I own a Steam copy?
No. The reason being that those who own a Steam copy would have an extra option that would not be available to everyone who bought the same bundle. If the game was originally sold as a non-Steam copy, but Humble later provided steam keys to everyone who bought the bundle, then the game would be allowed.
Why six games?
The first few monthlies had 6/7 games in them so I went with that.
How long are you going to do this?
Until my credit card statements gives me nightmares.
This event "ends" on September 2nd when the next next HB Choice releases, though the giveaway itself will end the day after. If you manage to finish game number six in between that time, feel free to post, but know that I cannot guarantee that I'll be able to give you the link in time.
