Eyo,

I would like to know how can i correctly detect package and overall work with SteamDB coz on some Steamgifts am confused. I have this gift, name itself says "The Banner Saga" but description says "The Banner Saga - Deluxe", deluxe version contains game + soundtrack but gift doest says "game + sountrack" as its on other gifts of games where it says what all it inculde.
This is 1 example for all. I have Banner Saga base game or Deluxe? How it works with SteamDB to find equal game and what is it?
Many thanks.

i believe u can't track it
For example, steam gift Assassin's Creed 3 Deluxe Edition (yes, Deluxe). I have Steam Database installed on my chrome. And when i check this gift in browser i will see this.
"View on Steam Database" button will open base game, not deluxe :/

Maybe you should contact with steamdb?

Our email address is freeman@steamdb.info. Alternatively you can tweet at @SteamDB.
Alternatively, if you use IRC, come over to #SteamDB on freenode and ask away!

As far as the data returned when you view the inventory in the browser, I don't see anything resembling Package ID. The only clue you have is the name of the package in the description.

In your case, the package should be this one, since it is the only one with the exact same name.
