So I bought a new graphics card

And there are no drivers for Windows XP.

I can't install anything newer on this crap 7yo PC - mostly because there are no newer drivers for my sound card, and I don't have working onboard audio.

Looks like I have to buy EVERYTHING :(

Well that sucks. This PC works - it doesn't quite play video games well, but it works, and it's set up like I want it to be set up. And I'm mentally unable to buy cheap stuff, so I'm looking at a 1000€ cost for a new PC.

My old laptop GPU died, but I am still on the laptop. I also have new one, but meh.

There are no options, really... It's only a matter of time until XP support is dropped by everyone and everything, and at best, I could buy some used hardware and tag along.

Guess I'll be spending money I don't have...

change os to vista or win 7 or win 8 for me Win 7 is the best good luck :)

Try windows 8, it isn't as resource demanding as Win7 I think... (Sorry if I'm wrong)
On my crappy old laptop win8 runs super fast and stable.

IMO win 8 could be better than win7 but for now, most games are utilized and optimized for win7 and just some of them have good support for win8, so there is a risk.

I'll probably go Win8 eventually. I use it at work with Classic Shell and I don't have any complaints. It's ugly as hell, but I don't really care about that.
