yeah - strange people seem to not get that when saying good luck we should mean really good luck - I am from the UK, so have preface much that I say with 'sarcasm' noted in my text somewhere - as that is our normal default humour setting :)

well when reading text, it's often hard to be able to properly discern tone.
the writer will think it obvious but the reader could construe myriad different interpretations.
but then if you explain it too much, your original sentiment becomes null.
so. shrug xD
