What do you think of GMG's Loot Boxes?
I don't get their pricing... They're pretty much f*** their customers over with the 3-pack:
- 1 pack: 0.99
- 3 pack: 3.99
- 5 pack: 4.99
- 10 pack: 9.99
Who is doing their math???

Not quite. It's actually cheaper to get 5 "1 packs" than 1 "5 pack". Same goes for the "10 pack".

It's true that it's cheaper to buy 5 "1 pack" ( 0.99*5 = 4.95) vs 1 "5 pack" ( 4.99) but it's somewhat consider the same. You can also say it's cheaper to buy 10 "1 pack" instead of 1 "10 pack" also. The main part is the "3 pack" ( it cost as much as "4 pack")

Close enough for the 5 pack, but the 10 pack does save a 10 cents which to me is a big deal. The 3 pack price is ridiculous as you said.

This Loot Boxes are a really wastle of time and money people.... I bought some of them last time and i got garbage, and i bought some of them now thinking that maybe i get something a bit good but no, garbage again. If you have the chance to buy a good bundle... go for it and ignore that terrible money grab Loot boxes.

people who are bad at math, especially probability, people addicted to gamble, and people who have free gmg credit from playfire times or review spam (like me ;p) - in this case if you don't really pay any real money you may as well risk it and sometimes get sth good ;) Not for these prices thou - when I was buying mystery packs I paid like 1Eur credit per 3 games or 2 Eur per 5 - and even then it was only profitable if you bought quantities big enough to strike something good once or twice ;p for current prices I cannot imagine it being worth at all ;p

I suspect this is timed to capitalize on groupee's grab back success, since they actually had a lot of good games for an extremely reasonable price. This is not that. You will experience massive buyers remorse.
GMG is fucking awful. They have a variant of this thing running year round and switch up the name/terms/pricing very sightly to get attention about their "new" deal. They put in the same games over and over; it's pure gambling, except worse since you have no way of knowing any of the odds. For anyone saying posting they won something nice(ish), you're usually not seeing the hundred others embarrassed for spending 10 on games they literally can't even giveaway here. The house always wins.

"GMG is fucking awful" pretty much - they used to be fairly solid on deals, but since that weird witcher 3 fiasco (CDPR declarinf that GMG had aquired the keys illegitemately), everything they do seems to be shadier and shadier.
I got a refund around xmas because even though I only went to purchase one thing, I was charged for and provided with three copies. After a severe battle with their c***omer services, they backed down and offered the refund I was entitled to, adding "due to the discrete nature in which we obtain our keys, we will not be issuing further refunds". Usually obtaining something "discretely" means its fallen off the back of a truck at night and been delivered by the potato men in hessian sacks.

I'm pretty sure every Loot Box I've ordered has included Dirt Showdown. Hey, thanks GMG! I needed multiple copies of that game.
In general, I'd say the Loot boxes are not worth it.
However, if you have some extra cash, and if the process itself is worth the money to you -- if you're one of those people who gets enjoyment out of the "mystery" -- then it might be worth a few dollars.
Sort of like instant scratch-off tickets for me. I really enjoy the process of scratching off the tickets, so I spend $2 or $3 to get one every few weeks. Not because I think I'm going to win, but because I enjoy the process and I am okay "losing" that money if I don't win. It's an acceptable expense, basically.
