Hey! I find the thread before the GAs are closed this time:! Won't stop me from doing the other jigidis (even those I already have the games for) but it's nice to have something at the end of it. By the way, Deadly Tower of Monsters looks right up my alley and I couldn't resist the golden era monster B movie look even if it wasn't so thanks for pointing it out!

it does take a lot from monster B movies, both in earnest and in parody; it's a remarkable little game and is often overlooked party because it was overshadowed by other indie games on release and largely because steam - aptly named - is today a steaming cesspool where sniffing out good titles is neither easy nor an enjoyable endeavour.

lol totally agree on everything in your post. It's sometimes hard to find the good ones on Steam these days. AAA titles get a lot of hype but there are some awesome indies still coming and they are lost in a sea of student projects and all the "hey I didn't have anything to do this weekend so I followed some coding tutorials and did this, wanna buy it for 8 euros?"

I wish the student tutorials were the worst of it, I am not a huge fan of them and do wish Valve had a selective platform like back when they didn't allow a game as good as UnEpic on in case it wasn't good enough for the platform, waiting for it to prove itself. But the real issue are all the malicious "games" dumped on there by devs that are actively exploiting the abysmal state steam is in. Shoveling on as much garbage as possible to make money in dubious and morally questionable ways. Meanwhile Valve are sitting on their thumbs :\

Well they're making money too. Their reputation is shot to ***t but hey it's a lucrative business.
And let's not talk about all the "early development" games that make a bundle on a half-finished game and just stop working on it while leaving all the people who "funded" them hanging.
Meanwhile little gems are going unnoticed in the middle of all that mess.

I completed The Deadly Tower of Monsters puzzle and entered the code, but it just goes to the main SG page. I tried it 3 different times. :(

I am sure the code is correct other people have entered it already, did you notice that there's an ambiguous letter there which is a small case "L" not a capital " i "?

I decided the theme for the Games in the giveaways today would be games I've actually enjoyed playing.
We've all been there, we have hundreds of games on steam and have never touched some of them. The games I'm giving today are all games I've played and have enjoyed. They are not my absolute favourite games, I am not sure what those would be. But they are games I would play myself and hope others might enjoy as well.
