yeah that's what I meant, they won't have to pay again if they want it on their steam library too:) and I agree with the second part too, maybe that's because they did not get as many pre-orders as they they expected on steam.

I could ask you why someone may want to play Fortnite (one of the worst game ever, even Bad Rats is better) and yet millions still play it unfortunatly.

Well, I'll let you know if I get any graphics/AI bugs like in the video, once I play it.
Everything else looks great, I really liked Fallout 4 (I played it about 300h), and I don't care much about the multiplayer, I'll play alone and do my own business.
That's sucks that it's too expensive, I would buy it right now otherwise. š„

You can (and have to) link accounts to get a free steam copy, but Bethesda can't use that link on the backend to keep everything on a single account there.

I love my fallouts, but this ones "survival" features just didĀ“nt click with me. Tried getting into it three times already, never stayed long on my hdd/ssd (ginormous install size also being a factor here).

I found a somewhat decent deal on kingquin and I have some spare cash in my kingquin wallet so I am wondering if I buy a EU key will I still need then a EU VPN to activate it, also do you need the VPN active when playing, or just to activate it.?

Cool on you, there is no shame in liking something that others don't. But based on facts that it's backwards in every sense compared to even the previous, shoddy Fallouts, that every update broke multiple things, that they went against their word of not making it pay to win (then adding the purchaseable repairs), THEN adding a pay to win yearly sub that was also pay to win and also also the toolbox ate people's scraps... it's layers of fuckups on layers of fuckups. It's been clear that Bethesda has no idea how to handle the Fallout franchise and go for the lowest common denominator with the direction of this game.
You may enjoy it, as I enjoyed Zoombies, the movie. But neither of them will just get good or even decent because of us few liking it.

I do hope it will get better, not worse, for everybody's sake. Noone profits from a worse game. But personally they lost me with no stories, no NPCs, just building, bugs and more and more microtransactions. It's like Elder Scrolls Online with guns, just without the world and lore and these things that attract me. And attracted to previous Fallouts and Elder Scroll games :(

What's free about this? I don't get it, honestly. Unless I'm missing some very relevant information it's still the same Bethesda account access you bought way back when, or recently. If you didn't buy anything you're not getting anything.

Those games get added to Steam, same deal still requiring same launchers, but you're gonna have to pay full value again if you're wanting the Steam APP-ID, achievements, ability to manage downloads, whatever community crap (that I actually don't really value either and think people use as a pretext to complain they cant give value a 30% cut when they boycott non-steam releases), or workshop stuff.
Whatever value added [whether you consider it a lot of value or very little) would otherwise require a heavy chunk of change. So yeah it's certainly free thing.
It's not something I'd even expect of anywhere normally, so rather decent of Bethesda and I"m sure owners like it.

Checking wiki, it seems like they were only executive producers with RtCW, and the publisher was Activision! Bethesda only bought the IP (and id, I guess?) in 2014. I wasn't even aware of who had the rights for the id-IPs before Bethesda.
