It wasn't very limited at all. More like super glitchy. Me and many other were on time but just couldn't finish the purchase because the site sucked.

Not glitchy, but just an acquisition by a new company for the license and a website that's not used to the traffic that it got. When you normally have a max influx of like 100 people and suddenly you get blasted to hundreds of thousands of people (at least according to an educated guess based on just a single Reddit post getting 10k upvotes), you can't really blame them for it, I'd say.
It's a shame though since I also lost out on the sale :D
