What a bout your Processor ? My sisters computer has a better graphics card than mine, and 1 Go RAM, bu the main problem is the proc. 1.6 GHz is not enough to play correctly.

Then no problem on that point logically. You should be able tu run the game. FPS wouldn't really be enbettered by more RAM though, the GPU is the main cause.

Thought so, but was not sure, Saw some people recommended 2GB of ram. (was think of getting 2GB of ram for $15) I can play it, just wanted little more smooth game play.
Thanks for the info.

yeah... i'd +1 the vidcard suggestions.. I'm not familiar with the 210, but if sequential numbering makes any sense, my years-old GTX 260 gives me no major issues with TF2 (similar CPU, but 3+ gigs ram, WinXP) (aside from freaking the f''* out sometimes and mis-caching all the graphics -- takes three minutes to switch res to fix -- probably a heat issue).

PC System Requirements
Minimum: 1.7 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM, DirectX® 8.1 level Graphics Card (Requires support for SSE), Windows® 7 (32/64-bit)/Vista/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection
Recommended: Pentium 4 processor (3.0GHz, or better), 1GB RAM, DirectX® 9 level Graphics Card, Windows® 7 (32/64-bit)/Vista/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection

These requirements are bananas. Ever since they started adding hats non-stop the game turned into an unoptimized pile of unoptimization. I'm running a GTX460, quad core q9300 at 2.5ghz, 4GB of RAM and windows vista and the game runs like total crap to me. I've got to turn everything down to get playable speeds.

I've got a dual core 3ghtz I built in 2007 with an 8800GT and WinXP and I've never had a stutter out of the game...

Yes. Whoever says 1 Gb of RAM is enough for gaming under Vista/W7 is telling BS. Yes, graphic card is important, but more RAM shortens the loading times, enables Windows to function normally and game to be run fine on top of it... Optimum for your (OP's) current computer would be 3Gb of RAM total.

You should get a better graphic card to fix your FPS problem or change the video setting. I play with a Radeon HD 4670 (512 MB) without any problem. It should be cheap nowadays (second-hand market only), or get a more recent model (5670 for example)

This should make TF2 play on any computer, regardless of spec: http://fakkelbrigade.eu/chris/configs/

Im using a very low budget computer, I was wondering if an extra 1GB of ram would help with FPS? (or should I just save up for a new one)
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ Dual-Core (2.2 GHz)
Windows vista 32 bit
1GB of Ram
DDR2 Geforce 210 1GB
(oops...forgot CPU)
