I have had this problem for so long (few years), I have looked up so many YouTube videos, forums and various other sites to try to fix this problem. I have factory reseted my computer, checked that all the drivers have updated, done many other wild things to try to fix this but none of them work!

Here's my problem:

So here is my problem, I have a pretty crap laptop when it comes to gaming I will put my laptop specs below this small paragraph. Upoon launching a game, it seems perfectly fine. Runs like normal, get about 5 minutes into the gameplay the game starts to stutter every 5 seconds. Upon this annoying as hell stuttering it then disconnects from the internet I am using and then the stuttering continous. This makes some games basically unplayable and I just get annoyed at it.

Laptop Specs (Yes I know it's a shit laptop)
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
Processor: Genuine Intel(R) CPU U4100 @ 1.30GHz (2 CPUs), ~1.3GHz
Memory: 3072MB RAM
System Manufacturer: LENOVO

I am literally open to most suggestions that can help me with this problem. I am still unsure what causes the problem. Is my computer just bad? Is one of the drivers glitched or something? Please reply to any ideas and/or thoughts so that I can hopefully resolve this issue.

i'm sure that the problem here is the cpu, not that it's broken or anything, just that you are probably trying to play a game that is too heavy for that cpu
correct me if i'm wrong but it looks like a netbook and netbooks are not for gaming

also extra info i found by googling your cpu: the system and bios will show the cpu as U4100 but it's actually SU4100 (the S is missing) and U4100 does not exist (oh and you dont actualy have 2 cpu's but 1 cpu with 2 cores, not the same thing since [i think] you cant use 2 cpu's at the same time)

Is it just stuttering or do you see any artifacts on your screen also? Leaving out the part where it disconnects from the internet it could also be caused from overheating maybe.

+1

Was going to say this, give it a good dusting, and if needed get a cooling base.

+1 You may install some heat measuring software to be sure.

And after you get your heating issues addressed...

Control Panel -> Power Options -> High Performance (selected) -> Change Plan Settings -> Change Advanced Power Settings -> Processor Power Management -> Minimum Processor State (Choose 100%)

And...

Control Panel -> Power Options -> High Performance (selected) -> Change Plan Settings -> Change Advanced Power Settings -> Processor Power Management -> System Cooling Policy (Choose Active)

My first thought was overheating as well. Could have dust build-up or a non-functioning fan. Does it feel extremely hot in certain places? Make sure no fans are blocked as well.

When was the last time you open and clean it?

Possible problems, dust, bad fan, needs thermal grease, bad hardware.
Check Temperature with CPU-Z or my favorite Speccy
