You shouldn't worry about any companies that suspend their services in Russia, people here already celebrate their right to steal everything western companies taken away from them. You should worry about the West doing everything in the dumbest way possible, people just started to learn that buying things legally is absolutely normal, now you take this option from them and cultivate another generation of thieves. All these people who lost the option to buy products legally never buy them again when this option returns. It's obvious why they do it - they want ordinary people to start protesting against their government, but you don't understand that there is no end for the russian inaction, if northern koreans still exist in the state they exist in why do you think russians can't? We could endure even worse.

Helping Ukraine is one thing, but in just a week every company's dogpiling on Russians like they're somehow all responsible for the war, nevermind that those greedy companies were still trading with Putin before the war, like he was just a regular customer and nobody knew he was a dictator.

It truly is. It makes me sick when a tragedy is used for social points without real impact other than cultivating more hate. These kinds of "awareness campaigns" focus people's attention on the outrage and direct it away from things that truly matter, like helping people who truly do need the help. This whole thing is so weird that I find myself, and for the first time, supporting piracy.

You're not very smart, if you think things like this will have any sort of effect on Putin being ousted, or anything else other than virtue signaling from western companies. They jump on the bandwagon of what's perceived as "hot" to score social points from... nobody who matters or generally buys their products anyway.

Microsoft will suspend the sale of all of its products and services in Russia. The company's president Brad Smith announced the move today, March 4, 2022.
"Like the rest of the world, we are horrified, angered and saddened by the images and news coming from the war in Ukraine and condemn this unjustified, unprovoked and unlawful invasion by Russia," said Smith.
This is the latest move by Microsoft during the war in Ukraine. Smith discussed fighting cyberattacks and disinformation during the war in Ukraine earlier this week.
Smith added that Microsoft is working with the governments of the United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom to stop "many aspects" of its business in Russia. These stoppages are in compliance with governmental sanctions.
"We believe we are most effective in aiding Ukraine when we take concrete steps in coordination with the decisions being made by these governments and we will take additional steps as this situation continues to evolve," said Smith.
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, Microsoft has acted against Russian moves against 20 Ukrainian financial sector, government, and IT organizations. Smith emphasized that the protection of Ukraine's cybersecurity is almost certainly Microsoft's "single most impactful area of work" during the war.
Microsoft continues to work with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and multiple UN agencies to help refugees.
Earlier in the week, it was reported that Intel and AMD have also halted shipments and sales of processors to Russia in light of new sanctions.
